We’re sad to share that we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of our Hunger Games film series at The Venue.

While it’s been a pleasure reopening our doors to public film screenings for the first time in several years, the turnout for the initial showing was lower than hoped. After careful consideration, we’ve chosen to pause this particular series as we reassess how best to reintroduce cinema to our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to those who joined us, and we remain committed to creating meaningful and engaging events at The Venue.

Thank you for your continued support — we look forward to welcoming you back soon for future screenings and performances.

Thank you to everyone who made a voluntary donation to watch the film screening of Queen of Glory in Black History Month.

Bishop Grosseteste University gifted the cinema space and staff time and after the cost of the film licence, raised £85 for The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR).

Ruth Subash, Deputy Director TCfR said ‘the money will be spent supporting communities, families and individuals struggling with the cost-of-living crisis with hygiene support.’

BGU is a donation point for Lincoln Hygiene Bank. Products can be dropped off at main reception for the attention of Jenny Jenkins / Sarah Moseley
