King's Lynn Community Cinema Proud winners of the Community Award 2024 in Film Society of Year Awards.

The Community Cinema Club is an independent, not-for-profit, organisation for local film enthusiasts showing a variety of films, talks and social events for members over 18. The Community Cinema Club is an independent, not-for-profit, organisation set up to cater for film enthusiasts in the area. We aim to show a varied programme of non-mainstream, foreign and classic films which reflect the taste

s and interests of our members. We normally screen a film on the 2nd Thursday of each month plus additional films in April and January in the Majestic Cinema at 7.30pm. Members pay a subscription of £17 which covers entry to all 8 films in a six month season. Alongside this we organise a regular social programme of meals, outings, quizzes and film related talks. The first film of the new KLCCC season will be on Thursday 14th May and is the award winning German drama based on a true story, From Hilde, with Love. In Berlin 1942, Hilde is a member of an anti-Nazi group. She falls in love with another member, Hans. The two spend a summer together until they get caught by the Gestapo and Hilde is imprisoned, eight months pregnant. Our final film of this season will be a change to our published programme due to licencing issues. On Thursday 23rd April we shall now be screening the French comedy drama Holy Cow. Totone's carefree teenage life of drinking and dancing takes a turn when he must provide for his 7-year-old sister. Seeking income, he channels his energy into producing an award-winning comté cheese to claim a competition prize. Members have free entry to all KLCCC films so sign up now for just £20 and see this and all next seasons eight films.
