Sad news with the passing at 92 of one of the greatest film and stage actors anyone has ever produced. We saw him as the father figure in Ran and we will see him in the forthcoming High and Low as one of the lead detectives. Most famous film roles perhaps are in Hara kiri, Kwaidan, Sanjuro, The Human Condition, Ran and Sword of doom. Rest easy.
