Studio-1 is a Community Cinema, run by volunteers, who aim to put on recently released films in a cinema environment that is accessible to all areas of the community. Tickets are priced at £4 (£3 for adults, £1.50 for children for holiday screenings)

🎬 Could you spare just a few hours a month to help keep our community cinema going? 🍿

For the past 15 years, Studio 1 has been run by a fantastic team of dedicated volunteers. Sadly, due to age-related health issues, some of our long-serving volunteers are no longer able to do as much as they once could.

We’re now looking for a few new volunteers to join our team and help ensure Studio 1 can continue to provide a welcoming, affordable community cinema for everyone to enjoy.

The role involves helping to serve refreshments and collecting the entry fee before the film starts. It’s just a few hours, once a month, and no previous experience is needed—just a friendly face and a willingness to help.

If you think you could lend a hand, or would like to find out more, please get in touch. Even sharing this post could help us find our next volunteer.

🎉 Good Morning Everyone! 🎉

Today is the day – Rox One Café is officially open for business! ☕🍰

I would like to say a huge welcome to everyone as we begin our very first day of trading. It has been wonderful meeting so many of you already, and I am excited to open the doors and welcome the community into our café.

Whether you’re popping in for a morning coffee, a light lunch, a sweet treat, or simply a friendly chat, you’ll always receive a warm welcome from us.

Rox One Café is here to bring people together, providing a friendly, comfortable space for everyone to enjoy. You do not need to be visiting the practice to come in and see us – everyone is welcome.
