Here’s a list of 6 toxic foods your pooch should avoid eating:
🍫Chocolate: It contains theobromine and caffeine, which are stimulants that are toxic to dogs.
Chocolate poisoning in dogs includes vomiting, diarrhea, hyperactivity, tremors, seizures, and even more unfortunate happenings
🧅Onions and garlic: It contain compounds that can damage red blood cells in dogs, leading to anemia. Symptoms of poisoning include weakness, pale gums, lethargy, vomiting, and diarrhea
🍇Grapes and raisins: The exact toxic components in grapes and raisins are unknown, but they are highly poisonous and can cause sudden kidney failure in our furry friends
🍰 Bakery Foods with Xylitol: Xylitol is a sugar substitute that is often used in baked goods. Even though safe for humans, it is highly toxic to dogs, even in small amounts.
It could cause vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, seizures, and liver failure
🍦 Ice Cream: Dogs are lactose intolerant, plus artificial ingredients and sugar added in ice cream make it more toxic.
Dairy products can cause digestive upset, whereas sugar can lead to obesity and diabetes
🥩 Raw Meat and fish: It can contain harmful bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli, which can cause food poisoning in dogs.
This may lead to vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and fever.
