Despite finishing this guitar over a year ago, I never did get round to sharing any pictures of it. How rude of me

It was my first time working with the ancient material of Bog Oak for the back and sides, which was very exicitng as an archtop maker as I got to step outside of my comfort zone of using Maple and Mahogany

There may or may not be another Bog Oak archtop in the works because I simply cannot be stopped

This guitar is ✨️available✨️

Hello friends, now that the dust has settled after another fantastic weekend at , it's time to share what I've been working on over the past couple of months

I'll tell you a bit about it

Its got a hand-carved Moon Spruce top, with a cylindrically shaped Indian Rosewood back, mahogany neck and ebony everything else. The top is X-braced with a lower Martin style tone bar to achieve a nice balance across the range

I've always looked on at my flat-topped making friends with envy for all the fun things they're doing with their rosettes, so this was the perfect time to try out some ideas that I've kept for a long time. I'll tell you what, inlaying a 2D circle into an archtop is no joke, but maybe I'll show you how I did it in a little while

The scale is a nice 645mm, and of course the neck is fully adjustable to get the action just how you want it. Many thanks to as always for letting me use his lovely neck adjust system that he showed me back when I was a student. Its very cool and I love it

The bridge is fully hollow inside, making it nice and light and ready to make wonderful sounds. In fact - around half of the weight of the bridge is removed during this hollowing process!

I've got a few demos coming your way in the next week or so, as well as a full build video to meet my strict schedule of one new YouTube video once every whenever-I-feel-like-it. Keep an eye out for that, and head to my website if you want to learn more about this guitar

That was a lot of writing. Im starting to feel like a budget with his incredible Instagram novels

Bye for now
