The Wyre is full of culture, history and subjects that would feel right at home in a Documentary - and our friends at Discover Wyre have built a new website that showcases just some of the region's heritage.

Visit https://wyre-heritage-culture.co.uk to learn more about the region that CineWyre calls home every March.

The collections, places, and people of Wyre, in one place. Explore five towns, council archives, interactive 3D models, and stories.

Supporting local filmmakers is a key aspect of everything we do at CineWyre - so we were delighted to sample Blackpool and the Fylde College's world class media facilities last week.

There is so much untapped potential across the region, and our festival is a perfect way to launch into the industry. We'll have more exciting news to share in due course!

It's going to be a session to remember, just as it was at our sister event in Fleetwood.

By popular demand, the Fylde Coast's own Ryan Green - a stunt performer who has worked on 1917, The Marvels, Star Wars: Andor and many other big productions - will deliver his Life of a Stunt Performer session at this year's LYIFF. It was one of *the* moments of CineWyre Film Festival back in February, and we are over the moon to bring this eye-opening session to Lytham International.

Learn from Ryan's experiences at the Methodist Church, from 1.15pm on Saturday 5th September - tickets are incredibly limited, and you can book yours at lyiff.com.

As we hit our halfway mark, it's over to our most senior judge with a little update on CineWyre 2027 preparations - over to you, Mr. Smit!

Exactly one year ago today CineWyre launched at the with a special showcase, and 12 months on, our jury are hard at work programming the 2027 festival.

The screens are calling, and the Early Regular Deadline is imminent - the competition is fierce already. Could your film light up one of the most iconic venues on the Wyre coast?

Schools are out for the summer here in the UK - the perfect time to start making a Family Friendly film for CineWyre 2027. Our jury are on the search for U-rated, clean, wholesome shorts and features from all over the world.

This year the likes of The Little Miracle, Cell Buddies, and Bird Boy entertained the Marine Hall. Could your film follow in their footsteps next March?
