Tonight. 7:30 at the Maltings. See you there!

"1974 New Zealand: young Brian's heart is broken, but he finds a quirky crew of nuns in a rundown convent facing shutdown. Together, they hit the road in a wild, hilarious race to save their home. Holy Days is a feel-good joyride about faith, fierce family vibes, and finding hope where you least expect it." Rotten Tomatoes

Nuns seem to be having a moment! In Holy Days, three nuns headed up by Miriam Margolyes set off on a road trip with ten year old Brian to try and save their convent from developers. It’s New Zealand in 1974, so in addition to holy comedy, expect fabulous locations and some excellent moustaches.

Did you know that Ely Community Cinema is run entirely by local volunteers?

All for the love of good indie cinema to support the arts and provide a fun night out for the people of Ely and beyond!

Big thanks to every single one of them. There would be no indie cinema in Ely without you.

If you've enjoyed a film here, come back soon, tell your friends, or if you can spare some time, ask about volunteering yourself.

Dinner and a film, all in one Sunday.

We're screening Tony this Sunday 27 September at 7:30pm, a film concentrating on the first year of Anthony Bourdain’s career in professional kitchens. And if you fancy making an evening of it, The Royal Standard is serving a special menu beforehand based on Bourdain’s famous Les Halles restaurant in New York (see our previous post for the menu). It's entirely optional, but a very good excuse to eat well before the lights go down!

Grab your cinema tickets at our website and book your table at The Royal Standard on 01353 645194.

Once again we're partnering with Royal Standard for an optional Pre-Cinema Dinner Offer. Ticket holders can have a special set price dinner before the film.

Antonio Banderas is Chef, who gives Tony his break, and Leo Woodall is his companion-in-arms Sal.

The menu will be based on Bourdain’s famous Les Halles restaurant in New York so not to be missed!

Join us this Sunday evening for outstanding performances by Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton.

Reclusive literary legend A.N. Dyer hasn't written a word in twenty years. Now, haunted by his own mortality and estranged from the family he broke apart, he summons his sons home for one last reckoning and a revelation that could unravel everything they thought they knew.
