Many congratulations to our festival friends Damian McCann and Sarah Gordon as their film 'Aontas' has just been selected as Ireland's official entry for this year's Academy Awards! 👏🥳☘️🏆

📽️ We had the honour of hosting a sold-out preview of the acclaimed Irish-language thriller at our 38th festival back in November... and even then we knew it was only a matter of time before it received major recognition. This really couldn't have gone to a more deserving duo ❤️❤️

🤞 We're crossing all fingers and toes for Damian, Sarah and the whole 'Aontas' team as the Oscar shortlists are set to be announced on Tuesday 15 December 👀

'Aontas' is also available to stream on BBC iPlayer... so don't forget to add to your watchlist! ✅
