We have been delighted with the response of our customers to our Citra Sublime ale, launched in June. Our loyal following and veteran ale trailers told us that whilst it held the hoped for tasting profile, it would be even better if it were a more “sessionable” brew which was a little more hoppy. We are happy to oblige, have adjusted the ale accordingly, and the new 4.5% version will be delivered to our pubs this week. We thank all of you who showed so much interest in our new ale and helped us in its evolution…..and remember, it’ll only be available at Black Country Ales pubs!

We’re back…..again! Finally, we think we’ll be able to complete our season of films for your Friday entertainment. On 18-3-22 our screening of Hidden Figures starts at 7-30pm; tickets at £8 available from The Flower Room and The Village Butcher and, of course, include complimentary luxury ice cream and super wine! The New York Times said ”The basic virtue of “Hidden Figures […] and it’s a formidable one, is to proclaim with a clarion vibrancy that, were it not for the devoted, unique, and indispensable efforts of three black women scientists, the United States might not have successfully sent people into space or to the moon and back”. It’s a great movie!

Important update from Movies at Chaddesley

Because of the rapidly developing coronavirus situation and in line with other village organisations, MAC has reluctantly taken the decision to postpone all three remaining screenings this season. This applies to:
The Wife: Friday 20th March
Enchanted April: Thursday 26th March
Oscars Night – Fisherman’s Friends: Friday 24th April.

If you have already bought tickets for The Wife and/or Enchanted April, this is what to do:
Retain your tickets! When MAC starts up again, take your tickets to any of our retailers and exchange them for the film of your choice.
(if this causes difficulty or hardship for any of you, please email [email protected] or telephone Penny Searley on 01562 777145.

We hugely value your ongoing support and very much hope to be back in September with a new season of excellent films. Until then, stay well and keep cheerful until we see you at the movies once again!
