Today, we had a coffin arrive here… on a tractor! 🚜

It was a lovely reminder that there really is no “one size fits all” when it comes to saying goodbye.

A funeral can be as unique, personal and meaningful as the person whose life you’re celebrating.

Whether that means arriving on a tractor, incorporating a much loved hobby, choosing a favourite song, wearing something special, or including the little details that tell their story. There are so many ways to make a funeral truly personal.

Because a funeral isn’t just about saying goodbye. It’s about remembering a life, celebrating a person, and doing things their way. ❤️

So, if you’ve ever thought, “I wonder if we could do that at a funeral?” the answer might just be yes.

Today it was a tractor 🚜
Tomorrow? Who knows… and that’s the beauty of making every farewell your own. ❤️

This week is Hospice Care Week 💚

At Cannock Chase Crematorium, we meet families at one of the most difficult times in their lives and we know that, for many of them, hospice teams have been part of the journey that came before.

Hospice care is about so much more than someone's final days. It's about dignity, comfort, compassion and helping people to live as well as possible for as long as possible.

So this week, we'd simply like to say thank you to the hospice staff and volunteers supporting individuals and families in our local communities every day.

Your work matters enormously. 💚

This Thursday is International Day of Older People 💚

It’s a day to celebrate the older people in our families and communities, the stories they tell, the things they teach us and the memories they help to create.

At Cannock Chase Crematorium, we have the privilege of hearing so many wonderful stories about lives well lived.

So this week, perhaps take a little time to call, visit or have a cup of tea with an older person in your life.

And maybe ask them to tell you a story you haven't heard before. 🤎

We are incredibly proud to share that our Crematorium Manager, Millie, proudly received her Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM) Diploma with Honours yesterday evening. 🎓

Alongside this fantastic achievement, Millie was also presented with the Eickhoff Medal, recognising her for outstanding achievement in her diploma studies.

This is a brilliant reflection of the dedication, commitment and hard work Millie continually puts into her role. Her passion for supporting bereaved families and providing the very best possible service is at the heart of everything she does.

Millie is always looking for ways to learn, develop and improve the services we provide, ensuring that the families we support receive the care, compassion and professionalism they deserve during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Congratulations Millie! We are so proud of you and everything you have achieved. Your hard work and commitment truly makes a difference. ❤️
