Thanks to our fabulous newsletter team for coming in on Wednesday to stuff, label and stamp the newsletters. Members should receive them through their letterbox by the end of this weekend.

If you have opted to receive your newsletter by email, you should have already received it electronically. If you'd like to receive yours this way too, which saves us postage and printing costs - let us know next time you call!

We are absolutely thrilled and very grateful '1st Priorslee & St Georges Scouts' in Telford have chosen to support us as part of their B**r Festival in September! It's a great event with live music, ales, gin bar, mocktails, pizzas on Friday night and a BBQ on Saturday!

We are pleased this year to be supporting The Friendly Bus - a community transport charity supporting anyone across Shropshire who can't easily access public transport.

We hope all our members and volunteers are coping ok in the heat.
If you need to cancel a minibus trip, we completely understand. We'd prefer you stay well, especially if you have an underlying health condition.

We're doing what we can to keep our minibuses cool, parking in shade where possible and having the air-conditioning re-gassed over the weekend but they're still very warm. If we cancel any more trips, we'll call everyone that has booked a seat. We appreciate it is disappointing but everyone's safety is most important.

If you do go on the minibus, we strongly recommend you bring plenty to drink to stay hydrated and any portable cooling aids you have - such as a mini handheld fan, cool towel, spray bottle/cool spray etc. If you feel unwell during a trip, please let your driver know immediately.

𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧
Temperatures are set to rise again this week. If you've booked a car journey or minibus trip....

- Bring a large drink to stay hydrated.
- Handheld fans are great, as are cool towels.
- Let our volunteers know if you feel poorly and sit down in a shaded spot (or inside an air conditioned shop/supermarket).

Our drivers will try to park in a shaded spot, where possible, and have all the windows open for a through breeze. We have put some water bottles on the minibus in case you need one but they're not chilled.

If we decide to cancel any trips that you have booked on this week, we'll call you to let you know. Please check your voicemails when you return, if you go out.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹. We appreciate you may be disappointed, but it's more important you stay safe and well. Please call us on 01952 881145 between 9:30am and 1pm, Monday to Friday and we can book you on a future trip instead so that you don't miss out.

If your child travels with us to/from school, please remind them to refill their drink bottle before coming out of school, and to take their blazers/ties/jumpers off (but remember them when they get off)! If they feel poorly, please tell them to let the driver know by shouting down the minibus or at the next stop (they must remain seated whilst the minibus is in motion).

Unfortunately we're not able to visit The British Ironwork Centre in July. We'll now be visiting Oakgate Nursery & Garden Centre on that day instead. We appreciate this will be disappointing but it's unfortunately out of our hands.

We have some wonderful trips planned for the summer months. Bookings for all July AND August trips open at 1:30pm on Tuesday 7 July.

We cannot wait to see photos of you enjoying them!

Thank you to everyone that came along to our AGM on Wednesday. It was wonderful to see so many of our members and volunteers join us to celebrate all that we achieved last year!

This is one of our favourite days as we get to see all of our lovely members that we usually only speak to on the phone!

If you've booked a minibus we have four vehicles out this morning picking up members. You may be on a different minibus to a friend, but we'll have you all together in no time.
