💜 Together at the Movies – This Tuesday! 🎬

St Mary's Hospice Community Hub - Together at the Movies Community Connections Hub is back this Tuesday for its third month

Created to bring people together, reduce isolation and help local people discover the support, services and activities available in their community, our hub is growing each month. 💜

This month, we’ll be joined by ArtWorks Art4All CIC for a free needle-felting workshop and Ruth Corney for a free weaving workshop. 🧶✨

We’ll also have local community organisations and services joining us, giving you the chance to find out more about what’s available locally.

We’re huge Dolly Parton fans here at The Royalty. A true legend, an absolute queen and, by all accounts, an all-round genuinely good person whose music, films, humour and generosity have brought joy to millions.

We’d love to honour her incredible life and legacy with a special Dolly Parton celebration, potentially including a big-screen showing of the classic 9 to 5 or Steel Magnolias or both and maybe a Dolly Disco!

You might not realise quite who we've got coming to The Royalty…
SOUL JAM – Saturday 24 October.

Soul Jam bring together three powerhouse professional vocalists – **James Franklyn, Jo Smullen and Jay Curtis** – and there's some serious musical pedigree behind those voices.

James Franklyn began performing at just 12 years old, supporting The Everly Brothers at Liverpool Empire.

His career later took him to Detroit, performing in its soul and blues clubs, with his professional biography crediting him with backing vocals on Motown recording sessions.

He's performed alongside names including Edwin Starr, Tony Christie and The Merseybeats.

He went on to form vocal harmony group B.N.D., who were signed to Sony Music and toured with a then-emerging Take That.

Jay Curtis has an impressive history too, going right back to the 1990s when, as John Kennedy, he fronted popular Merseyside R&B band The A-Team – and he's still recording and releasing original music today.

Together with the brilliant Jo Smullen, they become SOUL JAM – three distinctive lead voices coming together in harmony for a huge celebration of Soul, Motown, Funk, Disco and R&B.

And they're bringing it to our stage in Bowness!
