“Hi! I was at the performance last night in bowness with my partner Tegan (we were the couple at the front on your left). I just wanted to say how incredible we found your performance. We went to see manic st preachers and suede in Leeds the night before and we both agreed your show was leagues ahead! We have commented at so many points today how amazing the night was and how much fun we had! You guys absolutely rocked it and we will definitely make the effort to come see you again! Thank you and hope you enjoyed it too. “

We're absolutely heartbroken to hear of the passing of our lovely friend Paul Gregson.

Paul was one of those wonderful people who made The Royalty such a special place. A hugely talented musician, a lovely man and someone who gave so much of himself to the things and people he cared about.

His passion for our beautiful Wurlitzer organ was infectious, and we'll always be grateful for his dedication to it and the wonderful music he shared with audiences at The Royalty.

But more than anything, we'll remember Paul for the person he was. His kindness, his enthusiasm, his incredible talent and the genuine pleasure he took in making other people happy through music.

It's especially poignant that Paul was able to play the Wurlitzer one last time, just days before his passing. Knowing how much the organ and The Royalty meant to him makes that final performance all the more special.

We're going to miss him terribly. The Royalty has lost a dear friend, and our heartfelt thoughts and love go out to his mum Judith, his wider family, friends and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

Thank you for everything, Paul. It's been an absolute privilege to have you as part of The Royalty family. You won't be forgotten.

With love from all of us at The Royalty.
