The Brief(case): “Travers’ Case” 💼 from Derby based filmmaker Joe Erickson- Kicukdurgut () premieres today on FNCinema.co.uk/shuttleshorts 🚂

Filmed in Nottinghamshire, a researcher is tasked with transporting a mysterious case along the banks of the River Trent. Evocative of an old Dr Who cold open, scan the QR codes on Stourbridge stations to watch along Britain’s tiniest train.

Which if you think about it, is like a Tardis… that only goes to Stourbridge Town or Junction… and and always in the present day… hmm..

WHAT LIES BENEATH... Stourbridge Canal?! 🛶 A lot more than you'd think!
Amatuer filmmaker James Cross captured this transient glimpse of this natural phenomenon in 2020 during a family walk with his children. "It was a spur of the moment thing we did while just trying to get exercise during the pandemic. We were extremely surprised by the canal's abundant and healthy life."

I’ve been keeping a very close eye on something rather special at my station… mainly because it involves lots of people stopping to admire me. 😸
The Shuttle Shorts Film Festival is now underway, bringing you a collection of brilliant 3-minute films celebrating Britain’s shortest railway line.
🚆 New films are released every other day until 8th August, so there’s always something new to enjoy on your journey.
The festival has been developed and curated by the talented students of King Edward VI College, Stourbridge, in partnership with Friendly Neighbourhood Cinema – and I think they’ve done a pawsome job.
So, if you’ve got three minutes to spare (that’s less time than it takes me to demand a second breakfast), why not have a watch?
