Hello to all our new followers of late, especially over on Facebook, where you've just pushed us over 2000!

In case you were wondering who we are and what we do, we're a film club that brings classic movies back to the big screen, run by two brothers, Shane and Paul, who have partnered up with one of the largest independent cinemas in the UK, Parkway Cinema, where we run monthly screenings at their Beverley, Cleethorpes, Workington and Barnsley popcorn palaces!

Yes, we're a film club, but there's no membership, no fees, no snobbery. We're just here to watch some great classic movies with fellow movie lovers!

And if that weren't enough, we kick off every screening with our free-to-enter BIG MOVIE QUIZ before the film*, where you can gather your crew and give those mega movie brains a workout and try to win some prizes!

So if you haven't already, why not join us for a night of fun and film!

All tickets are £6 and can be booked for all cinemas via our website, which will take you to your Parkway of choice:

ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND opened in US cinemas on this day in 2004.

Did you know the movie's title comes from a quote from an Alexander Pope poem, "How happy is the blameless vestal's lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd."

It all started here. FINAL DESTINATION opened in US cinemas on this day in 2000.

Did you know the story was originally going to be the concept for an episode of The X-Files, which in turn was inspired by Sole Survivor. In this movie, a woman who was the sole survivor of a plane crash starts to be haunted by dead people that Death uses temporarily as vessels trying to kill her to correct its plan, and killing everyone who suspect it.

"Allow it."

John Boyega was born on this day in 1992. We loved him in his feature film debut, Attack the Block, and can't wait to see him back as Moses in Joe Cornish's upcoming sequel.
