Latest ‘Harry Potter’ News:

It has been revealed that Nick Frost is in active negotiations and is very much the frontrunner to be cast to play ‘Hagrid.’

In the upcoming ‘HBO’ tv series adaptation of the ‘Harry Potter’ novels. Which is set to run for multiple seasons, over the course of a decade.

The first season of the new show is set to begin filming later this year (2025). Thereafter, it’s expected to premiere around the festive season in 2026. Failing that. The first season will debut in early 2027. Most likely around Easter (March/April, 2027).

Brett Goldstein is also rumoured to be up for the role. But Nick Frost is now almost certainly a lock for the role.

Nick Frost (‘Hagrid’) would be joining an ensemble cast that includes:

- John Lithgow (‘Professor Dumbledore’)
- Janet McTeer (‘Professor McGonagall’)
- Paapa Essiedu (‘Professor Snape’)

Latest ‘MARVEL’/‘MCU’ News:

‘The Chameleon’ will reportedly be the main villain in the upcoming ‘MCU’ movie: ‘SPIDER-MAN 4.’

Though there will be more villains featuring in the movie.

Tom Holland’s next ‘Spidey’ movie is set to begin filming later this year (2025), and will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

In regards to plot details for the movie. It’s been reported that ‘SPIDER-MAN 4’ will be set during the events of ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY.’

As a result, Tom Holland’s ‘Spidey’ is not expected to feature in the next upcoming ‘Avengers’ movie. But will thereafter feature heavily in ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS.’

‘SPIDER-MAN 4’ is set to swing into cinemas worldwide on July 31st, 2026.

A beloved franchise is making a comeback, and it’s ‘Scooby-Doo!’

‘NETFLIX’ have in partnership with ‘Warner Bros.’ Announced that a live-action ‘Scooby-Doo’ tv series is in development.

The series will reportedly be a complete reboot for ‘Scooby-Doo.’ With the show described as an origin story.

The first season will reportedly focus on how ‘Mystery Inc’ get together, and team up to crack their first haunting case.

The first season will run for eight episodes.

‘NETFLIX’ have indicated that they are committed to developing multiple seasons of ‘Scooby-Doo.’

Josh Applebaum and Scott Rosenberg will be the showrunners for the series. Which has reportedly been secretly in development since spring, last year (2024).

‘Mystery Inc’ are very much back in business.

Latest ‘STAR WARS’ News:

Three yet to be announced, live-action ‘STAR WARS’ shows are reportedly in differing stages of development at ‘Lucasfilm Ltd.’

This news doesn’t include ‘AHSOKA’ season 2, which has now started filming.

In addition. At least two new ‘STAR WARS’ animated shows are reportedly in the works.

These new shows are rumoured to be getting announced by ‘Lucasfilm Ltd,’ at ‘STAR WARS CELEBRATION’ (April 18th - 20th, 2025). Which is taking place in Japan.

There will be lots of announcements regarding various ‘STAR WARS’ projects at ‘STAR WARS CELEBRATION.’ Ranging from movie news, to tv show (live-action and animation) news. As well as comic book series news.

‘Lucasfilm Ltd’ will be looking to get ‘STAR WARS’ fans excited, for projects they have in the pipeline at ‘STAR WARS: CELEBRATION.’

Taylor Swift is reportedly in-talks with ‘MARVEL: STUDIOS,’ to star in a future ‘MCU’ movie.

The global superstar is rumoured to be in talks to portray the ‘Dazzler.’ Whom converts sound into various forms and projections of light.

The character in the ‘MARVEL’ comics, is often associated with the ‘X-MEN.’ Whom are now set to be introduced into the ‘MCU.’

‘LIONSGATE’ have confirmed that ‘JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 5’ is happening and it’s already in development.

However, whether Keanu Reeves will be returning is currently an unknown. Given ‘John Wick’ may be “dead,” following the events of ‘JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4.’

‘LIONSGATE’ are keen to keep expanding the world of ‘John Wick.’ Following the release of ‘THE CONTINENTAL’ limited series.

With ‘JOHN WICK: BALLERINA’ releasing into cinemas worldwide on June 7th, 2025.

In addition, a ‘Caine’ movie is rumoured to be in development. With Donnie Yen keen to return. After ‘Caine’ was introduced in ‘JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4.’

Latest Movie News:

‘Universal Pictures’ are actively developing ‘MEET THE PARENTS 4,’ and they have now announced that they have a director attached to the project.

John Hamburg will be writing and directing the fourth installment of the movie series.

John Hamburg previously co-wrote the previous three ‘Meet The Parents’ movies.

In regard to which of the original cast will coming back for this movie. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner are confirmed to be returning to star in ‘MEET THE PARENTS 4.’

‘Universal Pictures’ are yet to announce an official release date for this movie. But momentum is now with this project, with its development moving forward now quite quickly.

Latest ‘Disney’ News:

‘Walt Disney Animation Studios’ are rumoured to be quietly developing ‘ENCANTO 2.’

In a recent interview. Actor John Leguizamo, whom voiced ‘Bruno’ in the 2021 animated musical, ‘ENCANTO.’ Has been quoted saying that ‘Disney’ are “trying to come up with the storyline” for a potential sequel, and they’re very much “working on it.”

Whilst this isn’t an official announcement regarding ‘ENCANTO 2’ being in the works. In my opinion, it very much is unofficially, because one of voiceover cast, whom portrays a major character in ‘ENCANTO.’ Has said that a sequel is being explored and worked on.

‘ENCANTO 2’ is most likely at a very early stage in its development. Hence, why there is yet to be an official press release from ‘Disney’ regarding the sequel happening.

One thing you can be sure on though, is if we do get an announcement regarding ‘ENCANTO 2.’ It’ll be releasing into cinemas worldwide, unlike ‘ENCANTO’ which premiered straight to being able to be streamed on ‘Disney+.’

If this news is true. It shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. ‘ENCANTO’ was very much a smash hit on ‘Disney+.’

Regardless of the plot of a potential ‘ENCANTO 2.’ In my opinion, ‘Disney’ has to get Lin-Manuel Miranda back on board to do the musical score for the movie.

We could be talking about ‘Bruno’ again very soon.

Latest ‘PIXAR’ news:

This is huge news!

‘Disney’ have officially announced in a press release, that ‘COCO 2’ is in official development at ‘PIXAR.’ 8 years on from when ‘COCO’ premiered back in 2017.

In addition, ‘Disney’ have confirmed that ‘COCO 2’ will be arriving into cinemas worldwide, sometime in 2029.

An official release date is yet to be announced by ‘Disney.’

‘COCO 2’ is the latest ‘PIXAR’ sequel to be confirmed. With ‘TOY STORY 5’ and ‘INCREDIBLES 3’ also in differing stages of their own development.

The original team that worked on ‘COCO,’ are also coming back to create the sequel. With Lee Unkrichn and Adrian Molina co-directing. Mark Nielsen is also set to serve as producer on the movie (‘INSIDE OUT 2,’ ‘TOY STORY 4’).

I’m so excited about this! ‘COCO’ is a brilliant movie.

Latest ‘DC’/‘DCU’ News:

Colin Farrell is reportedly in-talks to star as ‘Sgt Rock’ in the character’s upcoming movie. Which will be set during ‘World War 2,’ and is set to be officially canon. As part of the ‘DCU.’

The movie will be directed by Luca Guadagnino (‘CHALLENGERS’).

Colin Farrell plays ‘The Penguin’ in the Matt Reeves inspired ‘batverse,’ which stars Robert Pattinson as ‘The Batman.’ Though, that world is not part of the ‘DCU.’ Whereas, ‘Sgt Rock’ will be.

There currently isn’t any more details about the movie. The movie doesn’t as of yet even have an official title.

However, given casting is taking place now, following the news regarding a director being officially attached to the project. I’d expect this movie to go into production and start filming later this year (2025) or more likely next year.

Thereafter, my prediction is that this movie will premiere in cinemas worldwide either in 2027 or 2028.
