‘Storm’ is rumoured to be of similar age to ‘Magneto’ and Professor X,’ but that’s not yet confirmed.

Latest Movie News:

A ‘BARBIE’ sequel is now in danger of not happening at ‘Warner Bros.’

Greta Gerwig is reportedly keen to comeback to this IP, to direct the sequel.

However, the problem is that both the director, and these 2 stars are reportedly asking for huge money $ deals to return. Ryan Gosling is rumoured to be asking for $20m, to return as ‘Ken.’

‘Warner Bros’ also have a time problem, because their licensing agreement with ‘Mattel’ for ‘Barbie,’ is set to cease from the end of this year. Unless production has begun on a sequel.

We shall see over the coming months if ‘Warner Bros’ are able to come to an agreement with the stars from ‘BARBIE.’ Which would be confirmed with an official announcement regarding a ‘BARBIE’ sequel, going into production.

Latest ‘MARVEL’ News:

The ‘X-MEN’ are expected to be the main characters going forward in the ‘MCU.’ Following on from the events from the upcoming movie: ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS.’

The plan is for the upcoming ‘X-MEN’ movie, to be the launch pad for the next phase (‘Phase Six’) of the ‘MCU.’

In addition, characters from the ‘X-MEN’ are expected to be introduced and thereafter feature in other ‘MCU’ movies. As with seen recently with ‘JEAN GRAY’ making her first appearance in ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY.’

Furthermore, ‘STORM’ is expected to make an appearance in ‘BLACK PANTHER 3.’ Whilst ‘ROGUE’ is rumoured to be in a potential ‘CAPTAIN MARVEL 3.’

However, there has been speculation that the upcoming ‘X-MEN’ movie may feature some established characters from the ‘MCU.’ SPIDER-MAN,’ ‘DEADPOOL,’ and Hugh Jackman’s ‘WOLVERINE’ have all been rumoured to make an appearance.

Latest ‘STAR WARS’ News:

‘Lucasfilm’ Co-President Dave Filoni is reportedly focusing on new movies for the big screen, and animated shows, with regards to ‘Disney+’ content.

Live-action ‘STAR WARS’ tv shows are according to sources, no longer the priority. When it comes to ‘STAR WARS’ content. Which represents a big shift from the last 5-10 years. Where ‘Lucasfilm’ focused on ‘THE MANDALORIAN’ series, and related shows (‘MandoVerse’).

What this means for the future of ‘THE MANDALORIAN,’ and ‘MandoVerse’ related projects (tv shows and movies) is not yet known. After the show adapted an episode into a movie for this first time earlier this year (‘THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU’). Which sadly underperformed at the worldwide box office. Despite being the first ‘STAR WARS’ movie to arrive on the big screen since 2019.

The next ‘STAR WARS’ live-action series to release is ‘AHSOKA’ season 2. Which is written and partially directed by Dave Filoni (showrunner). No further live-action shows have been announced (as of yet?). Which would suggest the above^ is correct.

‘Lucasfilm’ Co-President Dave Filoni’s roots come from animation. So his focus on this medium of content, shouldn’t come to anyone’s surprise. He was showrunner for the hit series: ‘STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS.’

Rumoured future animated shows include future seasons of ‘STAR WARS: MAUL - SHADOW LORD.’ Season 2 is expected to release in late 2027. There’s also rumours that other ‘Legacy’ characters from ‘STAR WARS’ may be getting their own animated shows. Like ‘General Grievous,’ ‘Asajj Ventress,’ and ‘Luke Skywalker.’

The next ‘STAR WARS’ movie is ‘STAR WARS: STARFIGHTER,’ which is releasing next May, 2027. Starring Ryan Reynolds, and directed by Shawn Levy. This movie is rumoured be to set after the ‘Sequel Trilogy.’ In terms of its relation to the ‘STAR WARS’ timeline.

In regards to future movies. The ‘NEW JEDI ORDER’ movie. Starring Daisy Ridley, making her return to play ‘Rey Skywalker.’ Is still in development.

However, there are rumours that project may have been adapted to now be ‘STAR WARS: EPISODE 10.’ Rather than a standalone movie. As there has been speculation that this project will now kick-off a new trilogy of ‘STAR WARS’ movies, which is still set to happen. With Simon Kinberg still attached to write the screenplay for a new trilogy of ‘STAR WARS’ movies.

Latest ‘MARVEL’ News:

‘SPIDER-MAN 5’ won't be moving forward anytime soon.

There’s rumours it could be 5 years before a next instalment of Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man’ arrives into theatres worldwide.

The director of ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY,’ Destin Daniel Cretton, whom ‘Sony’ and ‘Marvel: Studios’ both want to direct the next installment. Has now shifted his focus to the live-action ‘NARUTO’ adaptation, which he will direct next. Followed by a much anticipated ‘SHANG-CHI 2.’

Production on ‘Lionsgate’s’ ‘NARUTO’ movie, is expected to begin sometime in the first half of 2027. The cast for the movie is yet to be announced.

Tom Holland and Zendaya are both expected to be taking an acting break soon, as they intend to focus on enjoying married life for a while. Following the release of multiple major projects, which they’ve both starred in this year.

It could be argued that an acting break for them, could also benefit moviegoing audiences. As when they both do return to the big screen, it’ll feel like they’ve been missed.

Latest ‘STAR WARS’ News:

In addition to playing ‘Kratos’ in ‘Amazon’s’ ‘GOD OF WAR’ series.

Dave Bautista has reportedly been cast in an upcoming ‘STAR WARS’ movie.

The project Dave Bautista has been cast in, is yet to be announced by ‘Lucasfilm.’ There is however a strong expectation that he’ll be playing the main villain.

Dave Bautista is rumoured to be a major ‘STAR WARS’ fan.

Latest ‘STAR WARS’ News:

Ewan McGregor is reportedly continuing to push ‘Lucasfilm’ to make a 2nd season of ‘KENOBI’ for ‘Disney+.’

Ewan McGregor believes there’s plenty of storytelling still yet be done with ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi.’

‘Lucasfilm’ are reportedly interested in pursuing a season 2. But are hesitant to fully commission a 2nd season into development. After how season 1 was received by both fans and critics. Which is measured by the studio, through studying both critics reviews, and the shows’ viewership on ‘Disney+.’ Which was reportedly underwhelming after the show initially premiered.

After ‘AHSOKA 2’ airs in 2027. ‘Lucasfilm’ is reportedly prioritising making movies, over new tv shows. Which is a complete 180 switch from the last 5-10 years of ‘STAR WARS’ content.

For example, ‘THE MANDALORIAN’ has been the flagship priority IP at ‘Lucasfilm,’ over the last 5+ years.

Despite this, a 4th season of ‘THE MANDALORIAN’ is still possible. As is a ‘KENOBI’ season 2. Especially if Ewan McGregor keeps making the case to ‘Lucasfilm’ for it to happen. Other than that, a limited series focusing on ‘VADER,’ and a potential 2nd season of ‘SKELETON CREW,’ continue to get rumours.

Even if these shows all happened. What’s clear is that ‘Lucasfilm’s’ priority going forward is to make sure new movies are put into production. After all, ‘STAR WARS’ is an IP that should always be best known for delivering outstanding theatrical experiences for the big screen.

Latest ‘MARVEL’ News:

Dafne Keen is in talks to reprise her role as ‘X-23.’ In at least one future ‘MCU’ movie.

The movie(s) Dafne Keen is in talks to star in, is currently not yet known. However, I’d speculate that ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS,’ or the upcoming ‘X-MEN’ movie. Are the most likely upcoming projects, the actress could feature in. Given that ‘X-23’ is a ‘mutant’ character.
