Some very positive news for cinema accessibility this week.
Vue is rolling out the Auri assistive listening system across more than 200 screens in the UK and Ireland – and we’re very pleased that the Omnex team has been playing a part in supplying and installing the technology.
Developed by Ampetronic | Listen Technologies, Auri uses Auracast™ technology to make cinema audio more accessible, including the ability for people with compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, headphones or earbuds to receive audio directly through their own devices.
It can also support audio description and provide additional options for customers who may benefit from a more personalised listening experience.
It’s great to see Vue investing in this area, alongside the work being done by a growing number of cinemas to make their venues more accessible.
As an Ampetronic | Listen Technologies partner, it’s also something we’re proud to be involved with at Omnex.
Cinema should be an experience everyone can enjoy – and technology has an important part to play in making that happen.
