BLON x AWARDS 2026 🏆

Competition Programme: Lithuanian Animation | Winner
“Backstreet Birds”, directed by Gertrūda Nemčauskaitė

Jury statement: “This year’s competition programme was strong from start to finish. But our award goes to Backstreet Birds. This film manages to tell a clear and strong story in a short amount of time, creating good characters through great animation and sound work that transports you to the world of the film. It brings joy in the darkness of a cinema.”
