It is with profound honour that the Better World Fund reflects on the morning of May 18, 2026, at Copal Beach, Cannes — a morning of deliberate dialogue that set the tone for all that followed.

Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Artist for Peace and initiator of the Femina Pax UN Resolution, led an assembly of ministers, diplomats, and institutional leaders in an examination of what it would take to move women from the margins of international diplomacy to its centre. The data that informed that conversation is both clear and urgent: women represent less than 10% of negotiators in peace processes worldwide, yet their participation increases the durability of agreements by over 35%. The session closed with a symbolic act of support for the Femina Pax resolution at the United Nations.
