Rudrakshas et mala
The Legend says that three of the sons of the demon tarakasur, terreurtadinmali, tarakaksh and kamalaksh, attinrent the divinity because of their devotion to Shiva. Contrary to their nature nature, and for some time, they led with wisdom and justice, making peace on the kingdom of the gods. However, their licentious character suddenly suddenly surfaced, and they would therefore be ill-behaving.
Seeing this, Shiva, from the top of his mountain, filled with sorrow and anger, plunged into deep meditation. And, from the deepest of his silent immobility, tears of crystal rolled on his cheeks to fall on the ground in a plenty of golden seeds.
These seeds were born a tree.
It is called "rudraksha". the sacred tree from the tears of Shiva in front of the misery of the sons of the demon, before he punishes them for their mistakes.
That is why the seeds of rudraksha are now venerated by the shivaïtes as parcels from the body of shiva himself, only one with the deity. The simple fact of wearing them gives spiritual properties to whoever wears them. The protection of Shiva, but also medicinal and healing properties. They are also known to increase the energy power of their carrier.
Used to recite the jappas in the Hindu tradition shaivite, they are often mounted in bracelets or in "malas", including a symbolic number of seeds. One of the most popular is the mala at 108 seeds. Figure 108, strongly linked to figure 9, and 3, both symbols of perfection, is traditionally linked to several hindu beliefs in connection with enlightenment. For example, it is said that a person who would be able to meditate so deeply that it would only be 108 times in the day would reach enlightenment. It is also the number of deities in the hindu pantheon or the number of states through which the atman, the soul, is passed along his journey. The 108 seeds mala is therefore an extremely sacred and powerful necklace.
It is said that those who carry of seeds are in direct connection with Shiva, and may the God address them through his tears. It is not uncommon for unexplained and miraculous phenomena to occur in the life of rudrakshas's bearer if he takes the decision to commit himself to a spiritual path. The seeds then designate their bearer as a true shaivite blessed by the gods.
It is possible to carry of seeds to three, five, seven and eight faces to name only the most common. Each of them also has special properties and the blessing of certain specific deities.
The most common rudraksha is the five-sided rudraksha, symbol of God Shiva and representative of the five elements: Fire, water, earth, air and ether. This rudraksha is known to give release and fulfill wishes. She gives health and long life to whoever wears it.
Some famous figures are known to be related to the seed of rudraksha: Rudra / Shiva, Parvati, Krishna, Mrs Gandhi, and many actors, gurus and swamis Indians like paramahamsa nithyananda.
