How do you turn a doodle into a Yoodle?
Here’s a look behind the scenes of our latest collaboration with YouTube.

YouTube approached us with our original animation language as a creative reference, looking to “For2o3 Loz” and “Too Much” to brief the visual direction they wanted for the Yoodle.
From developing the character and finding the story, to sketching the storyboard, exploring the animation, and bringing it all the way to YouTube’s homepage, here’s how we brought it to life.

A project that took elements of the worlds we’ve built and brought them to a much bigger platform, while celebrating the creativity of the region’s animation community along the way.

We’re on YouTube!
Today’s Yoodle is live, celebrating the growing community of animation creators across MENA, a world where storytime animation has become more than a format. It’s a shared language.

We’re proud to have been chosen by YouTube to bring this celebration to life, drawing from the visual language we’ve built through Samaka Originals and our work across the region.

This community isn’t just sharing animated stories. They’re sharing the craft behind them, character builds, timelines, workflows, experiments, and everything that goes into bringing an idea to life.

For this Yoodle, we brought that spirit into our own visual world: expressive characters, playful design, bold colour, cultural details, and the warmth that makes MENA animation uniquely ours.

A celebration of the creators shaping what animation looks like in our region, told through the lens of Samaka.
