During our World Cleanup Day activity, Synthogra CEO Nanette joined the team outside – collecting waste and seeing first-hand just how much can accumulate in a surprisingly small area.

In this interview, she reflects on something simple but important: materials only have value if we handle them properly.

We need to be better at collecting, sorting and recycling our waste – keeping valuable materials in the right recycling streams instead of allowing them to end up in nature.

And while the purpose was serious, the day also brought the team together.
“We’re doing it for a good cause – and with some music, it’s also a little bit fun.”

26.6 kg in 1.4 km.

On 8 September, the entire Synthogra team stepped outside together for a local clean-up as part of our World Cleanup Day activities.

In just 1.5 hours, across a route of only 1.4 km, we collected 26.6 kg of waste.

It was a powerful reminder of how much waste can be found in the places we pass every day – and how much difference collective action can make.

But it was also a genuinely enjoyable day for the whole team.
A chance to get outside, do something meaningful together, have a few laughs along the way and strengthen the team around a shared purpose.

As one of our colleagues said during the day:
“Pick up your own trash – because we need to do better, all of us.”

At Synthogra, we work with packaging materials every day. That makes it even more important for us to support solutions and behaviours that keep materials where they belong: in use, in the right recycling streams, and out of nature.

Because packaging matters.

What happens when an entire company steps outside to clean up? ♻️

You collect more than plastic.
You collect awareness, conversations and a shared reminder that responsibility starts with action.

On 8 September, the Synthogra team took part in our own local clean-up initiative as part of World Cleanup Day.
Together, we spent the day collecting plastic and waste – not only to help create a cleaner local environment, but also to remind ourselves why responsibility matters in everything we do.

Synthogra was proudly represented by Stendys and Lübker during the Danish Label Association's (DLA) study tour to Poland, where they joined fellow members in exploring the latest developments, technologies and trends within the label industry.

The programme included visits to UPM Adhesive Materials, the label printing company Wropak and Winnica Silesian, where labels, branding and products came to life in both practice and taste.
They also had the pleasure of visiting | Drukarnia Etykiet a printing company where both the founder and representatives of the third generation shared the company's journey and ambitions for the future.

Experiences like these highlight the strength of being part of the Danish Label Association. Bringing together suppliers, printers and industry professionals creates a unique environment for learning, exchanging ideas and staying close to the developments shaping our market.

World Cleanup Day is a global movement bringing together millions of volunteers, governments and organisations around the world to tackle litter and waste.

At Synthogra, synthetic films are part of our everyday business. Plastic is widely used because it protects products and, in food packaging, can help extend shelf life and reduce food waste.

But when plastic becomes waste, it needs to be handled properly. It should be collected, sorted and recycled where possible – not left in streets, parks or nature.

Meet Leo – one of the newest members of the Synthogra team.

Starting somewhere new is never easy.
