Primi ciak in Ticino! Oggi nel Mendrisiotto parte la fase ticinese delle riprese di BRIANZA, il nuovo film di Simone Catania .

Dopo aver attraversato Piemonte e Lombardia, il set si sposta tra Mendrisio e Lugano, dove si continuerà a girare fino al 31 marzo, prima del rientro finale a Torino.

Una produzione Indyca , in coproduzione con Beauvoir Films e RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera, in associazione con Rough Cat e con il sostegno della Ticino Film Commission .

Le riprese sono ormai a metà del percorso, e nell’attesa delle immagini dal set ticinese vi lasciamo alcuni momenti di backstage delle scorse settimane. Molto importante il contributo artistico e tecnico della Svizzera italiana: le immagini del film sono curate dal direttore della fotografia Pietro Zuercher e dalla capo elettricista Esther Mattei, le musiche saranno composte da Victor Hugo Fumagalli mentre la Central Productions .ch di Lugano gestisce l’organizzazione generale delle riprese sul nostro territorio.

In scena davanti alla camera gli attori protagonisti Paolo Pierobon, Fausto Russo Alesi e Marina Rocco sono affiancati dall’attore svizzero Christophe Sermet e dai ticinesi Margherita Coldesina e Davide Gagliardi.

We are happy to announce that IL RAGAZZO DELLA DRINA / THE BOY FROM THE RIVER DRINA by Zijad Ibrahimovic, has been awarded the Jury Prize “Vie des Hommes & des Femmes” at the 42. Festival International d’Autrans, in the French Alps.

Jury’s motivation:

“A moving film about resilience that shows how, through small actions, we can rebuild ourselves, and rebuild, on the ruins of war and the worst atrocities imaginable – in this case, the Srebrenica genocide. A film that obviously resonates in a very special way today.”

Thank you to the Autrans Festival, the jury, and all the audience who welcomed this film with an open heart.

In the spring of 1992, war broke out in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Drina Valley became the scene of the worst atrocities, culminating in the Srebrenica genocide. Irvin Mujcic was 5 years old and, together with his mother, sister, and brother, was forced to flee abroad. During the war, he lost his father and many members of his family. Around twenty years later, Irvin decided to return to his homeland to make peace with the demons that haunted him. In the same woods where people once sought refuge, Irvin began building a village with his own hands. To restore dignity to those places and their dead, to heal his own wounds, and to fulfill his desire for redemption.

Prima televisiva de IL CASSETTO SEGRETO di Costanza Quatriglio / lunedì 15 settembre alle 22:05 su RSI LA2.

La Sicilia, il mondo, una casa, una biblioteca. Nel 2022 la regista torna a Palermo nella casa dov’è cresciuta, chiusa da tempo, e apre le porte ad archivisti e bibliotecari per donare l’universo di conoscenza appartenuto al padre Giuseppe Quatriglio, firma storica del Giornale di Sicilia e di altre importanti testate, scrittore, saggista e amico di uomini di cultura del Novecento. Comincia così un viaggio sentimentale attraverso fotografie, 8mm, registrazioni sonore realizzate dal padre dagli anni ‘40 in poi in Europa e nel mondo, e le riprese effettuate dalla regista con lui quasi novantenne. La memoria personale e la memoria collettiva si mescolano in un fitto dialogo tra presenza e assenza.

Presentato alla Berlinale 2024, Vincitore del Nastro d’Argento Miglior documentario e candidato ai David di Donatello 2025.

Il 27 agosto sono iniziate a Bolzano le riprese di “Cercatori d’angeli” primo film per il cinema di Leopoldo Pescatore.

La produzione è firmata da Settembre Produzioni e Rough Cat, in coproduzione con RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera. Le riprese si svolgeranno per tutto il mese di settembre tra le suggestive location dell’Alto Adige e di Lugano, un mese di lavoro intenso per dare vita alla storia di Bianca, di Fausto, di Luke e Johnny, di Teresa, di Franz e dei tanti personaggi che popolano un film che mette al centro la solidarietà e le relazioni umane quale potente antidoto contro la sopraffazione del potere e le diseguaglianze sociali.

Nel cast, oltre alla protagonista, la quasi esordiente 17enne Sophia Anna Losito Teodorczyk, molti nomi noti al grande pubblico quali Fausto Maria Sciarappa, Giorgia Würth, Alessandro Haber, Caterina Shulha, Rolando Rovello e Igor Horvat.

Un progetto reso possibile grazie al sostegno tra gli altri di IDM Film Commission Südtirol e della Ticino Film Commission.
