Storie di ordinaria poesia.

In una notte magica, tra meraviglia e follia, mi son ritrovato con Peppe Lanzetta.

Tra ricordi, incontri e visioni, abbiamo evocato Mario Musella, voce straordinaria e anima ispiratrice di Nero a metà di Pino Daniele.

Ho chiesto a Peppe di raccontarci un aneddoto su Mario, legato alla sua scomparsa, per ricordarlo ancora una volta con affetto e gratitudine.

Dicono che per fare grandi cose basti il talento. Io dico che l'essenziale sia avere accanto le persone giuste.

Non potevo iniziare questo 2026 in modo migliore. Spalla a spalla con chi non solo crede nel mio film, ma lo nutre ogni giorno con forza e visione. Spesso si dice che dietro un grande progetto ci sia un grande team, e guardando questo scatto ne ho la certezza: il nostro sarà un meraviglioso documentario. 🎬

Essere l'unico uomo in questa troupe di donne straordinarie è per me un onore e una spinta costante. Al mio fianco ci sono le forze motrici di Kemi Hernandez e Marem Hassler di Tatendrang Film, che insieme a Sapiens Production stanno rendendo possibile la produzione di questo viaggio.

E la super Giuseppina Togni, anima e protagonista del documentario "Sulle tracce del Prete Rosso" nonché autrice del libro "Il prete rosso", che se da un lato trova il coraggio per mettersi in gioco dall'altro con la sua storia guida i nostri passi.

Grazie mille per sostenermi nei momenti piu' difficili, per motivarmi a spingermi oltre e spesso per sopportarmi! Quando il confronto è costruttivo e ci si sostiene per un’idea condivisa, il lavoro quotidiano diventa una spinta piacevolmente creativa.

Buon anno a tuttei/ voi, con l’augurio che possiate trovare la vostra "squadra" per realizzare davvero cio' che vi sta a cuore. 🎬✨

When I was asked to work on Miss Universe Switzerland, I didn't imagine how much I would learn.

From the competition preparations to the crowning, and managing relationships with partners and sponsors, I had the privilege of working with Naima Acosta, the new Miss Universe Switzerland 2025: twenty years old, born in Ticino and half Mexican.

Naima impressed me from the start – not only for her presence, but for her personality. She's a young woman who is strong and sensitive, making authenticity and natural simplicity her most beautiful qualities.

This project has given me a lot, because it showed me up close an example of determination and genuineness that gives hope. The new generations have a unique ability to be authentic, and Naima proves it every day.

My sincerest wish is that she can always preserve this essence of hers.
In this short video, some special moments that tell the intensity of this experience better than a thousand words.

From festival to production: when a meeting marks the beginning of the film.

Among the encounters that defined the Zurich Film Festival 2025, the one with Kemi Hernandez — producer and co-founder of Tatendrang Film — represents a turning point.

Daughter of Swiss director Jürg Hassler, Kemi chose to believe in my documentary "On the Traces of the Red Priest," which will enter production in 2026 with Sapiens Production.

What struck me wasn't just her expertise, but her approach: authentic curiosity, clear vision, collaborative spirit. The ingredients that transform a project into a film that leaves a mark.

The best collaborations are born when professional chemistry is also human. That spontaneous laughter says it better than any contract.

Behind every cinematic story are relationships built on trust. And when you find someone who shares not only the goal, but also the way to get there, you know you're on the right path.

Thank you Kemi, for embracing this project with genuine enthusiasm.

Quando l’intervista diventa un viaggio interiore.

E’ con molto piacere che condivido quest’incontro speciale in cui ho avuto il privilegio di essere ospite di Daniele Oldani nella trasmissione "L'Ombelico del Mondo" su RSI - un'esperienza che mi ha sorpreso per l'autenticità del dialogo e la spontaneità del momento vissuto.

La sensibilità di Daniele ha creato uno spazio dove ho potuto condividere parte del mio sentire e ovviamente la passione che muove i miei progetti e raccontare del mio nuovo "ombelico del mondo".

Spero che le riflessioni emerse possano servire a qualcuno/a e che, anche solo per un momento, possano ispirare al meglio.

A night that brought Küsnacht to life

Kulturnacht Küsnacht was pure magic. From the intimate concert at the Carl Jung Institute - where art and psyche met in perfect dialogue - to the town square pulsing with life and energy.

Watching the old town transform into an open-air stage, with hundreds of people rediscovering the joy of experiencing culture together, was deeply moving. And then those lights on the lake at night... moments that only the lens can capture but the soul never forgets.

Küsnacht proved that culture isn't just entertainment, but the heartbeat of a community. Initiatives like this don't just revitalize the area - they create authentic connections between people.

I hope this is just the preview of an increasingly rich cultural season. In the meantime, here are some of the shots that tell the story of this special night.

Beauty happens when you least expect it. My job? To be there to document it.

Quando il cinema incontra la fotografia: il mio nuovo progetto su Pino Bertelli.

Dieci anni fa, nelle strade vibranti di Buenos Aires, quello che doveva essere un breve ritratto video si trasformò in un'esperienza artistica indimenticabile. Oggi sono entusiasta di condividere con voi il mio nuovo progetto documentaristico su Pino Bertelli, uno dei più importanti fotografi di strada italiani, le cui opere sono oggi custodite persino agli Uffizi di Firenze.

Il mio approccio al documentario era già stato forgiato da maestri come Ermanno Olmi e Pino Solanas, ma l'incontro con Bertelli nel 2014 ha rivoluzionato il mio modo di vedere la fotografia. Da lui ho imparato che scattare significa sentire quel grado di empatia che trasforma un'immagine in un dialogo umano – quella connessione invisibile che fa la differenza nelle sue straordinarie fotografie.

Chi è Pino Bertelli?

Con decine di libri fotografici pubblicati, ha attraversato con il suo obiettivo Chernobyl, il Burkina Faso, l'Iraq durante la guerra, il Mediterraneo e innumerevoli altri paesi. Vincitore di prestigiosi riconoscimenti come il Premio Castiglioncello e il Premio Orvieto, a 82 anni continua a creare con una vitalità e un'urgenza poetica straordinarie. Le sue opere, conservate anche all'Università di Parma, testimoniano una visione in cui l'arte diventa atto di ribellione e poesia.

Il nuovo documentario 🎬 in produzione con Sapiens Production | Visual & Media Expert, in uscita a settembre 2026, esplorerà in profondità la poetica visiva del maestro. Insieme a Paola Grillo, documentalista e sua compagna di vita e di viaggio, sveleremo aneddoti inediti e i dietro le quinte di una vita dedicata alla fotografia.

Diretto da Antonio Manco con il contributo di Matteo Billi – autore toscano noto per la serie "Fotografi" su Sky Arte – il film approfondirà la poetica visiva e il pensiero che anima le opere di un artista che ad 82 anni continua a catturare l'anima del mondo attraverso il suo obiettivo.

Un progetto che si apre anche a compartecipazioni per chi vuole essere parte di questa avventura cinematografica di alto profilo.

🌍 The 10th edition of ACT International Film Festival of Human Rights in Colorado has come to an end! An extraordinary event featuring 23 films in competition from 17 different countries, blending physical screenings and virtual sessions to amplify stories that deserve to be heard.

🎥 It was an honor to participate virtually with the presentation of the trailers created for the Naples Human Rights Film Festival, a valuable opportunity to showcase the power of cinema in telling human rights stories.

🎬 From Italy to the United States, through the language of human rights cinema.

I’m thrilled to share this video message with the young film students of the ACT Human Rights Film Festival in Colorado, United States.

For over 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with the Festival del Cinema dei Diritti Umani in Naples, contributing especially to its audiovisual communication. Every year, I create the festival’s promotional spots using the mashup technique, blending short clips from all competing films.

Through carefully selected frames, these films take on new life, reinterpreted and unified by the rhythm and meaning of a song that guides their narrative.

In this short message, I share a glimpse behind the scenes and encourage students to experiment and innovate, exploring new forms of visual storytelling.

⭐ A heartfelt thank you to Professor Julia Khrebtan-Hörhager for this opportunity and for her dedication in shaping the next generation of filmmakers.
