The Movie Expo was founded by Zin Sze-To and Tazito Garcia in 2018 after decades of experience in the film and entertainment sector. They recognized the need to provide a platform where filmmakers can connect, share and discover in order elevate their creations. Along with their love for filmmaking and appreciation of all aspects in front and behind the camera, it sparked the fundamentals of the M

ovie Expo. Their idea really took shape on a trip to LA where they were set to meet with their producing, acting, directing, and filmmaking friends for a film project. They had realized how fortunate they were to have made so many great connections in the industry over the years. This ultimately leading to great projects and accomplishments. Inspired by how hard it is to break into the industry and the desire to connect talent to productions they set out to create opportunities for filmmakers to get their projects off the grounds. They decided to start with small pitch meetings and then hosting small gatherings where their industry expert friends could share their experiences with other filmmakers. Since then, Movie Expo has evolved into an International annual the expo where it offers Pitch Opportunities, Script Contests, Film Festival, Networking Sessions, Expert Panels, and the Keep Shinning – Movie Expo Award Show. The fundamental of Movie Expo is to celebrate and recognize filmmakers for their talent while connecting them to further their ventures.

The only Movie Expo of its kind taking place Sep 20-22, 2019 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto.
