The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is pleased to bring cinema back to downtown St. The aim: to present diverse narratives and stunning pictures for Niagara film-goers. The Film House is simply the best place in Niagara to experience the rich world of cinema. Located in the lowest level of the FirstOntario PAC, enjoy great films, cold beer and fine Niagara wines with a piping hot bag of popcorn! Become a Film House Member for just $30 to enjoy a full year of savings: including $2.50 off every film, 15% off concessions, 2 for1 tickets to the premiere screening of select new films, and more! The Film House features a state-of-the-art digital projector, stereo-surround speakers, stage for post-film events, and even Q+A's. Along with our concession, located in the Cogeco lobby, patrons can purchase affordable snacks and our licensed venue allows the enjoyment of wine or beer from your theatre seat.

John Wilson's The History of Concrete opens on Oct 3 and don't miss two screenings of The Golden Spurtle starting on Oct 13.

Halloween titles include: Misery, The Love Witch and Ghostbusters, Rear Window and a final week devoted to the one and only Tim Curry, featuring Clue and four (nearly sold-out) screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Calling all young film enthusiasts 📣

Applications are now open for the 26/27 Youth Film Club! 📽️

This program gives secondary school-aged youth in Niagara a chance to roll up their sleeves and get involved in animating The Film House with programs and events that matter to young people today.

The 26/27 Youth Film Club will meet bi- monthly from October 2026 to June 2027. Students will learn how films create meaning through lessons on cinematography, editing, sound, performance, genre, and film festivals.

Youth Film Club Members also receive special perks such as a VIP Film House Membership that includes exclusive FREE entry to any film at The Film House all year and, best of all, the club counts toward volunteer hours!

Applications are due on September 25, 2026.

The 26/27 Retro Reels Film Series kicks off with Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey on Saturday, September 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, September 13 at 3 p.m.

The Retro Reels Film Series is supported by Niagara Oast House Brewers, , and the Downtown St. Catharines Association.
