Renfrew O'Brien Theatre The O'Brien Theatre features two screens in a restored 1930's movie house. Additional renovations and equipment upgrades continue to the present. (See OVTOS).

Biography
The O'Brien Theatre opened on June 25, 1930 to rave reviews about its superior sound system and beautiful, ornate interior. In 1995, the balcony became a separate theatre, adding to the selection of film product available to customers. Today, in addition to popular current film, the theatre offers a series of art, independent and foreign films, and Met operas. A large theatre pipe organ,

installed 1995-present, thrills audiences with periodic concerts and movie prelude music. There are occasional live performances. The O'Brien Theatre maintains its grand presence on Raglan Street South, a testament to excellent design and construction of earlier times blended with modern technology. It remains an important centre of entertainment for the community.

Film group continues Wednesday evening with our final title.

Meadowlarks is a poignant, emotional Canadian drama directed by Tasha Hubbard. Based on the director's 2017 documentary Birth of a Family, it follows Cree siblings who were separated during the Sixties Scoop. Now in their fifties, they reunite for a powerful week in Banff to heal, connect, and reclaim their shared heritage.

This movie is open to the public and walk-ins are encouraged!

Cost is $10 per person.

PLEASE NOTE!!

Due to our morning matinee of Gone With the Wind, we have a ONE TIME ONLY change for our matinee start time on Saturday for Star Wars ONLY!

Mandalorian and Grogu will play at 1:30pm on Saturday only and then resume it's usual 1pm start time on Sunday!

Mortal Kombat will start at our usual 1pm show time.
