Yesterday Vancouver island Saree speak came together to celebrate a decade of saree love—sharing stories, dancing, laughing, and honoring the sisterhood that binds us. Draped in timeless elegance, every moment felt special.
We also dedicated this celebration to our beloved Asha ji. Her iconic voice may be gone from this world, but it will forever echo in our hearts. 🎶

Rang South Asian Arts and Culture Society was honoured to welcome Saree Speak Nanaimo to our 2025 Free Community Diwali Celebration.

Through a beautiful saree draping demonstration, they shared the grace, stories, and traditions woven into six timeless yards of heritage. It was a joyful moment of connection, culture, and togetherness for our Nanaimo community.

The Nanaimo Saree speak group gathered to celebrate the Indian women's cricket team for their outstanding win of their first World Cup. Fifty years after their first international match, the Indian women's team emerged victorious in November 2025, securing the World Cup. This is a monumental achievement!!

For women to conquer a World Cup in a male-dominated sport, and rising from a patriarchal society, is a profoundly empowering accomplishment. The Girls in Blue did not win it solely for themselves; they won for every aspiring girl in India, instilling unwavering reassurance that every girl can dream and triumph.Huge congratulations to Indian women’s cricket team from Saree speak Nanaimo 💕
