We kick off the month with a special Canada Day screening of the cult hit Best Motion Picture winner at the Canadian Screen Awards NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE, presented on 35MM FILM! Bring your B-friend and dress up for London Ontario’s first ever Nirvanna Lookalike Contest for the chance to win themed NTB prizes on Wii Shop Wednesday, July 1st at 7pm! That same week, we join forces with Pride London for a pre-launch to London’s 2026 Pride Week with a special screening of the ultimate q***r cult classic THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! Come dressed as your favourite Transylvanian for your chance to win prizes from Pride London and the Hyland on Friday July 3rd at 9:30pm! We see you shiver, with antici….
NIRVANNA is far from the only 35mm print we are presenting this month, as we continue with our Christopher Nolan on 35mm Film miniseries with Nolan’s sci-fi epic INTERSTELLAR, sponsored by Film London! We then continue with our Forest City Film Festival 35mm Series with Paul Thomas Anderson’s period drama masterpiece, THERE WILL BE BLOOD.
Beware! Our new summer miniseries B-MOVIE MADNESS is coming to get your Saturdays this July and August, with two nights per month of back-to-back B-movie classics! We begin in July with invaders from outer space with THE BLOB and Ed Wood’s PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE, followed by dastardly demons from the deep with the Universal Monster classic CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS!
In preparation from Jane Schoenbrun's new horror film Camp Miasma (coming to Hyland Cinema this August!), Hyland will be bringing back Schoenbrun’s previous trailblazing trans film I SAW THE TV GLOW this month, as well the film based on the hit TV series that launched the career of one of Miasma’s leading actresses Gillian Anderson, THE X-FILES! We want to believe (that you’ll be there!)
As for our regular Hyland programming, we bring you THE BIG HEAT for our series Noir Nights, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER for Horror at the Hyland, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES II: THE SECRET OF THE OOZE for our Everyone’s a Kid series (featuring a pizza party!), DON’T LOOK BACK for Rock the Hyland, MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN for our Summer Musical Series, FINDING NEMO for Disney Days, and the ultimate Hyland Summer staple, JAWS for July’s Retromania! Last but certainly not least, we bring you multiple 45th Anniversary screenings of Brian De Palma’s neo-noir thriller BLOWOUT!
