🎉 Happy Heritage Day, Hudson Bay! 🎉

We hope everyone gets a chance to head out and enjoy Heritage Day today! The parade starts at 10:00 a.m., and there are lots of great things happening around our community.

With so much going on in town, there will be no movie at the Hudson Bay Modeon Community Theatre this weekend. 🎬🍿

But even when there isn’t a movie playing, there are always things happening behind the scenes at the theatre!

Our popcorn and concession supply delivery was delayed last week and finally arrived this week—right at a time when all three of our board members were tied up with our regular jobs and couldn’t be there to meet the truck.

So, we called on a volunteer…and once again, our community came through. ❤️

A quick text and phone call to Betty Lou—yes, our Mayor!—and she rearranged her schedule to meet the delivery truck for us.

Betty Lou, we can’t thank you enough! 🙌

It may seem like a small thing, but these are exactly the kinds of helping hands that keep a small community theatre going. Our popcorn is stocked, the supplies are in, and we’ll be ready for our next movie night! 🍿🎥

Our current Board of Directors is ready to step back. We’re committed to helping a new board transition over the next few months, but now it’s time for new volunteers, new energy, and fresh ideas to lead the theatre into the future.

The good news is that we already have an amazing team of student staff who are trained, capable, and ready to keep the movies playing. What we need now is a new board to help guide the theatre and ensure the doors stay open for our community.
