Wow!!! The turn out for our 2nd Giant Yard Sale was off the charts both with the amount of sellers & buyers. Plenty of items to choose from, great bargains, lots of negotiations and topped off with icy cold slushies from the snack bar and our Drive In Favourite burgers from our BBQ stand! Just a reminder that our Final Giant Yard Sale is Sat Aug 8th. WANT BARGAINS? WANT TO NEGOTIATE. LOVE THE THRILL OF THE HUNT! THE GIANT YARD SALE IS TOMORROW at the Drive In. Over 70 Sellers will be here!!! Why go to separate yard sales when you can find many items in ONE spot! THIS SATURDAY July 11th!!! THE GIANT YARD SALE at the MUSKOKA DRIVE IN!!! Cut off to register as a seller for this Sat is Midnight Tonight Fri July 10!
On the second Saturday in July & Aug (July 11, Aug 8) from 10 am to 2pm we will be hosting a Great Big Yard Sale at the Drive In. Your junk maybe someone else’s treasure.
Anyone can be a seller at our giant yard sale. Just load up the car or truck with items from the attic, basement, garage, or items that you no longer use and want to sell them for cash. Your chance to have your yard sale right here at the Drive In from the trunk of your car with many others doing the same thing!
The price is $15 per spot (10’W X 20’L) or $40 for all 3 days and the spots are limited. The Spot is big enough to fit your car and put a table if you decide to bring one. The spots are first come, first serve and will be assigned randomly.
You may sign up at www.muskokadrivein.com for any of the individual days. There will be a limited number of spaces for commercial dealers and crafters. Please identify your self in the sign up that you are commercial dealer or crafter as we want the community to have the first chance to sell their items. Absolutely no illegal, dangerous or food items may be sold at this show. The show will go on rain or shine… set up will be from 8am until 9:45am. No one will be admitted to sell after that time. If you are bringing covering, please ensure that the structure is securely fastened at all times for everyone’s safety.
For anyone coming to look, peruse or buy from your friends, neighbours or community members the event is FREE and gates will open at 10am & close at 1:45pm! Also, Both the Snack Bar & BBQ will be open on these days.
We hope that you will come and check out the inaugural GIANT YARD SALE at the DRIVE IN!!!

Sorry Folks we will ONLY be RUNNING on ONE SCREEN until further notice so that means we cannot show TOY STORY 5 or MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE until the projector is fixed. We continue to keep working on it but looks like we will have to replace the projector at considerable cost. We are SORRY again to disappoint!
BUT MINIONS & MONSTERS & OBSESSION WILL play TONIGHT!!

Another Drive In has fallen to demo workers. The Port Hope Drive In which was Canada's Oldest Drive In (that closed in fall 2023) has now been unceremoniously laid to rest. Its sad when we lose a member of our community as there are not many Drive In's left in Canada. Actually there are under 40 remaining now. Drive Ins have always been the gateways to the past. A chance to enjoy movies under the stars. A chance for the young & old to turn off their phones and just enjoy the experience. Be a family together, or couples to cuddle or kids to just run free at the playgrounds. just let go of life's pressures and just be.
As the mantle of Canada's Oldest Drive In as fallen unfortunately to the Muskoka Drive In we hope that you will get a chance to visit, not only us, but the other Drive In's and small town Indoor Theatres like the Norwood locally. But there are many of these smaller theatres located all across Canada. We all need your support not only at the box office but the snack bars as well to keep these links to the past open and thriving! To stop the destruction that you see below...
