Happy September 1 movie friends!!

I have the pleasure of introducing our VIP winner for September....Elizabeth Witham.

The person who nominated Elizabeth said the following about her, "Elizabeth is a kind, generous and VIP with all those who know her. She is a senior (85+) and always helps other seniors in Fort Sask and area by visiting, driving them and encouraging them. She is a retired nurse, mother, baba and great baba VIP 😀 and enjoys a good movie."

Elizabeth and a guest get unlimited movie watching all of September and part way into October because of our week of closure.

Congratulations Elizabeth!!!

If you know someone who deserves to be a VIP, come into the theatre and fill out a nomination form during open hours!!

PS...it also gets your picture on the big screen for a month!!!

The theatre will be closed from September 4-10, we will not be opened at all during these dates. We will re-open on Friday, September 11 at 6:20pm.

Happy Monday movie friends!!

I am super happy to be making this post.

As many of you know, Fort Saskatchewan Nourishment Centre is our charity of choice this year. Today I had the honour of donating $277 from our online poster sale auctions!!

To date, Fort Cinema has donated $444 to the Nourishment Centre this year!!

Thank you to all that have supported this cause with your online bids and keep your eyes on the page for our next poster!!

Happy Saturday movie friends!!

I just wanted to let you all know I sat and watched the free movie Digging in the Dirt that is sponsored by The City of Fort Saskatchewan this morning. It is being showed on Monday at 7pm here at the cinema.

If you, or your spouse or friends or family work or have worked in the oil patch, you need to come and watch this movie.

It is a very real portrayal about what families go through, as well as ones who work in the patch, and deal with mentally.

It is about 45 minutes long and so worth watching. If you have an hour to spare on Monday, come and watch it. You will not be disappointed.

Doors open at 6:20 and seating is first come, first serve in theatre #1 which has about 70 seats. The other 2 theatres are booked with another movie already so the theatre will be busy that night. Full concession is also available.

We have a special screening on Monday of Khalifa playing at 6:45pm. The demand of the movie has been great so we are opening another theatre to view this movie at 7:00pm for those who are interested and tickets are now available to purchase at fortcinema.ca.
