We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Lila owner of Island Affair. Our hearts go out to everyone who loved and worked alongside her.
Lila was more than a fellow business owner to us. she was a genuine supporter, a champion of community, and someone who believed in what we were building from the very beginning. There are people who support you, and then there are people who truly believe in you.
She was both!
She opened the doors of her beloved store to my business and welcomed my brand as if it were her own. When I was still growing, still learning, still finding my footing, she saw something in me and gave me a chance I will forever be grateful for Her kindness, encouragement, and unwavering support helped shape this journey in ways I can never fully put into words, Because of her, my business didn’t just exist — it belonged.
The encouragement and kindness she showed to all of our business meant more than we can ever properly express, and her impact will always be a part of our story.
Her legacy will live on not only through the business she built, but through the countless people and local businesses she lifted up along the way. We are better because of her, and we will always be grateful.
She will be missed dearly, but her belief, her generosity, and her legacy will always live on through my brand and in my heart.
