First Nations director Eva Thoma’s solo directorial feature debut depicts the story of sisterhood and systemic injustice in Nika and Madison, where the two estranged friends flee together after a violent encounter with a cop.

Nika & Madison will be preceded by the short film Ilnikueu (Healing Dolls). Testimonials from the women’s group at Mashteuiatsh Puakuteu fill this intimate short film about grief and healing.
