This morning at 9:17AM, BIFD was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover at Hwy #879 and Hwy #524. Our firefighters responded to scene with Rescue 130, Rescue 180, Command 150, and the County Tender 160. Once on scene, firefighters assisted with scene control and incident stabilization.
All units were back in service by 11:00AM.

At 11:23 AM today, BIFD was dispatched to a vehicle fire near Hwy 885 and TWP 104. County Tender 160, Engine 120, and Rescue 130 responded. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and completed mop-up operations. All units were back in service by 1:30 PM.

Monday night's practice was another night of rural water supply and fire attack training. We were privileged to have several members of Burdett Fire and Rescue join the training along with their Tender.
Firefighters set up water shuttling to portable tanks, drafting, and relay pumping to a fire attack engine. These tactics are essential for attacking rural structure fires.

This afternoon at 3:07PM, BIFD was dispatched to a combine fire south of Bow Island on RR 112. Engine 120 and County Tender 160 responded. Once on scene, our firefighters extinguished the fire and spent some time cooling the remaining hot spots.
A huge thanks to Shamrock Colony for helping out with their water tender!!
As of 6:30PM, all units were back in service.

At 08:15 this morning BIFD responded to a CO alarm at St Michael’s school. E120 responded, BIFD confirmed high levels of CO in the building. Occupants of the building were evacuated and the BIFD members worked on ventilation of the entire building. As of 11:30 Engine 120 has cleared the scene and is back in service.

Last night at 9:10PM, BIFD was dispatched out for mutual aid with the Foremost & District fire Department to a combine fire on RR 80. The County Tender and Rescue 1 responded. Once on scene, our firefighters assisted Foremost Fire with extinguishment of the combine.
