FIELD TRIP on Saturday July 18 to Inches Creek east of Cherryville, a private mineral claim, you must be a paid member of the club or any other club affiliated with the BCLS .This is car and family friendly site but not suitable for the very young because of the rock slide we will be harvesting in however road agates can be found where we park. It is about 1 hours drive from Vernon on pavement and good gravel road, make sure your gas tank is full.
Tools and essentials needed are hammer, chisel (pointed preferred with hand guard) safety glasses, appropriate clothing and footwear, gloves, sq**rt bottle, 3/4 pronged long handle rake, brush, kneeling/sitting pad/foamy, container for tools and treasures. Essentials, hikiing poles, food/snacks, liquid to stay hydrated, sun hat, sunscreen, camera and most of all anticipation, excitement and enthusiasm.
We meet at the Vernon Arts Center in Polson Park for registration and instructions LEAVING AT 7 AM SHARP so come a bit early.
