CinemaScope ULAB Film Apprenticeship Programme, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Dhaka, Bangladesh

The ULAB Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) department carries out an co-curricular programme for the ones who are much enthusiastic about the creation and aesthetics of film production. The programme is called the Film Apprenticeship Programme, and is boldly known as “CinemaScope”. However, this is basically a platform for those who want to practice advanced elements of film production, other tha

n just shooting and bringing out a final product. With the aim of watching, reading, analysing, and making films, a group of students enroll into ULAB Film Apprenticeship Programme - CinemaScope. The program is monitored by the Department of Media Studies and Journalism. CinemaScope arrange regular events like Film Reading, Master Class, Workshops, Meet the Director etc. Besides, CinemaScope mouthpiece “Cinepedia”, a Cine-magazine, comes out once in every academic semester.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their thoughts, and made the conversation what it was.

What do you think makes a film "festival-worthy"?
The story? The director? The hype? The festival circuit?
Or just whether it hits?

If you had one seat left, what would make the cut?

Let’s settle this one.Does a bigger budget = a better film?Or can a good story do all the heavy lifting?

Some questions are better brewed than answered.

Starting with this one:
What’s the last film you couldn’t stop thinking about?
Not necessarily the best. Just the one that stayed.
Tell us yours!
