Real change starts when evidence from communities reaches national decision-makers.

To bring grassroots realities of child marriage and adolescent pregnancy into national conversations, Red Orange Limited and The Daily Samakal jointly organised a roundtable titled "Dreams and Challenges: Youth Engagement in Preventing Child Marriage and Adolescent Pregnancy" on 25 June, 2026.

Drawing on recommendations from three Divisional SRHR Knowledge Fairs, the discussion explored how policy, youth leadership, and community action can work together to strengthen Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

The highlights have been featured in a special supplement published by The Daily Samakal.

Yesterday, at the Youth Share-Net Project Roundtable, "Dreams and Challenges: Youth Engagement in Preventing Child Marriage and Teenage Pregnancy", government officials, development practitioners, academics, media representatives, and youth leaders came together to discuss this pressing issue.

The roundtable was jointly organised by The Daily Samakal and Red Orange Limited under the Youth Share-Net project, with support from AmplifyChange.

The dialogue reinforced a shared commitment: sustainable change requires stronger partnerships, meaningful youth participation, better SRHR education, and collective action across sectors.

What will it take for young people in Bangladesh to turn their dreams into reality? And who should be held accountable when those dreams are cut short by child marriage and teenage pregnancy?

Today, at the Youth Share-Net roundtable, “Dreams and Challenges: Youth Engagement in Preventing Child Marriage and Teenage Pregnancy,” young people joined government officials, development practitioners, academics, media representatives, and civil society leaders to demand stronger action and accountability. The roundtable was organised by the Daily Samakal and Red Orange Limited under the Youth Share-Net project.

The roundtable concluded with a shared commitment: sustainable change will only happen when young people are empowered to lead, decision-makers are accountable for their commitments, and all sectors work together to ensure every young person can pursue their dreams with dignity, opportunity, and choice.

Unlocking Bangladesh’s Delta: Aligning National Priorities for a Resilient and Prosperous Future

Key takeaways from the roundtable on the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP2100), organized by RedOrange and The Daily Star:

Bangladesh’s Delta Plan 2100 represents a bold vision for a safer, climate-resilient, and prosperous future. Experts highlighted that realizing its $34 billion ambition will require long-term thinking, stronger institutions, public-private partnerships, and greater engagement at all levels. Turning this vision into action demands sustained commitment, transparency, and collaboration across sectors.

The roundtable was organized in collaboration with the Government of the Netherlands. The full roundtable report will be released soon. In the meantime, we are sharing The Daily Star’s coverage of the discussion.

🇳🇱 Another King’s Day celebration in Dhaka, another beautiful reminder of that partnership can really make a difference!

Grateful that RedOrange could once again be a proud sponsor and co-organizer of the King’s Day celebration with the Netherlands Embassy in Bangladesh. 🇳🇱

As a Dutch-Bangladeshi organization, moments like this hit differently. It’s where the “bridge” we often talk about actually comes alive—between countries, between sectors, between people who care about doing things together.

A big thank you to the Embassy team for creating that space so effortlessly. And to everyone we crossed paths with—some familiar, some new—let’s keep the conversations going beyond the evening.

Lang leve de Koning! 😊

🌍Four deltas 🇧🇩🇳🇱🇻🇳🇪🇬. One room. A lot to think about for Bangladesh.

We’re still carrying the energy from our session at the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) 2026 —

“The Delta Exchange: How the World’s Deltas Communicate – Lessons for Bangladesh.”

As part of our work on Communication, Knowledge Management, and Stakeholder Engagement Support for consolidating the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP 2100), we were happy to host this conversation and bring together voices from across contexts.

What made the discussion stand out was simple:
we weren’t just talking about deltas — we were learning from them.

From the 🇳🇱Netherlands to the 🇻🇳Mekong and the 🇪🇬Nile, each delta carries its own reality of living with water. Different systems, different pressures — but also shared challenges.

And when you put those experiences side by side, something shifts.
The conversation moves from ideas to possibilities.

A big thank you to the panelists who made this exchange so meaningful:

Global voices

🔹Niels van den Berge – Dutch Delta
🔹Jean Henry (Harrie) Laboyrie – Mekong Delta
🔹 Dr. Mohamed Abdelghany – Nile Delta

Bangladesh in dialogue

🔹 Sanwarul Haque
🔹Dr. Farhana Ahmed
🔹Shaikh Muhammad Mehedi Ahsan
🔹Dr. Sara Nowreen, PhD

One thing came through clearly across all contexts:
plans don’t move on their own — people move them.
Effective communication, institutionalization, accepting failure and strong stakeholder engagement are non-negotiable for ensuring an inclusive and accessible Delta Plan.

For us, it was about opening up space — to question, to connect, and to think a bit more honestly about what it will take to make the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP 2100) work in practice.

At RedOrange, we’re glad to be part of these conversations — especially the ones that stay with you after the room is empty.

This World Health Day, let’s stand where it matters most - with science, with care, and with each other.

Measles is preventable, yet it still impacts lives. Recognizing the signs early, protecting our communities, and ensuring every child is vaccinated can make all the difference.

Health is not just personal, it is shared. When we act together, we protect the most vulnerable and build a stronger, healthier future for everyone.
