This is the story of a band that grew up but never grew apart. Jebediah exploded onto the Australian music scene in the 90s, becoming one of the country's most beloved bands. Rich with rare archival footage and intimate access, JEBEDIAH: ARE WE OK? is a warm, funny and deeply moving celebration of friendship, creativity and the enduring spirit of the 1990s.

Imagine a universe where Krzysztof Kieślowski never made BLIND CHANCE (1981). A universe where it never went on to inspire the creation of the seminal 90s Gwyneth Paltrow romcom Sliding Doors. A universe where Aqua never released the movie soundtrack hit 'Turn Back Time'. A universe we don't want to live in.

In BLIND CHANCE (1981), Kieślowski explores the concept of how small and seemingly inconsequential decisions can fracture into a multitude of possible new realities through the story of a man running after a train. Three variations follow on how such a seemingly banal incident could influence the rest of his life.

Suppressed and censored by the Polish government at the time of release, we will be screening the uncensored version recently restored in 4K by Criterion. This Thursday 20 August, 7pm as part of our weekly Kieślowski retrospective.
