- ONLY TWO MORE SLEEPS!! -

It's almost time. One of the most intense films I've ever done sound design for is premiering this Saturday night at The Backlot Perth

CUT 2 BLACK is one of the darkest films I've worked on. Written, directed, acted and produced by Luca Vines, who got me on board to produce the sound design and a good chunk of the score (including music i produced with Ammify and Parallax).

Not for the faint-hearted! If you love horror, slasher films, this is going to be the best thing you see come out of Perth for a long while! Get your tickets below!

Was such a thrill to find out that my documentary on the incredible artist Len Zuks 'My Capable Hands' was the winner at tonight's Life In Pictures Film Festival.

So very humbled to be chosen for this honour. Big thank you to the producer Jay Jay Jegatheva Jegathesan who made this all happen. And to Len for being such an amazing subject to bring this film to life!
Pretty amazing what the three of us have achieved here, it's been such a privilege to work with you both.

- My first published book: SCUDLEY GUITAR COURSE -

Last year I officially retired from guitar teaching. After almost 30 years of education, teaching students of pretty much all ages - 6 years old through to 78 years old - and helping a number of them successfully audition and get into WAAPA, I feel so privileged to have been able to share my passion for learning music to others. But more importantly, I feel so fortunate to have learnt from each of my hundreds of students over the years.

So even though I am no longer teaching, I have been working on something for quite a while now that is a culmination of the decades I have taught music, and the things that stood out amongst my students that were most effective in helping them achieve the knowledge and techniques they developed for the guitar - and music theory in general.

I have created a series of books that are designed to help complete beginners teach themselves from day one, right through to a high level of musical understanding, both in guitar playing and music theory.

And although there is no substitute for a good music teacher, sometimes having access to someone to guide you through proper technique and structure is difficult. So this first book in the series is a tool that can help anyone who is interested in learning. I introduce you to the SCUDLEY GUITAR COURSE!

At the moment, it is only available for digital download, but I am able to print full colour hard copies on demand. So get in touch if you prefer something physical, otherwise here is the first volume of my decades-long developed guitar course. Volumes 2 and 3 coming soon!

Oh, and I am planning something special with this series later in the year. Without giving much away, it involves my work as a film maker. Watch this space!

Designed to be used for learning without a guitar tutor, this first book in the series takes you through the very beginning of the journey in learning guitar. No matter if you have had absolutely no music tuition, learning, understanding or experience, you will be guided through everything ...
