A PRETTY SPECIAL MOMENT FOR OUTWEST.

Wasn’t expecting this one!

Brothers United founder Mitch Wade-Whalan surprised me with my very own Brothers United jersey featuring the OUTWEST logo.

When Mitch first approached me about getting involved, he made one thing clear. He didn’t want money from me. All he wanted was my time.

So that’s what I gave him.

To then be recognised alongside the businesses that sponsored the team was genuinely humbling. I never went into this expecting anything in return, so this meant a lot.

A massive thank you to Mitch and everyone involved with Brothers United for bringing me along for the journey and allowing OUTWEST to be part of something special.

I also want to give a big shout-out to Hannah from Hannah Elly | Sports Media.

I couldn’t have delivered the level of coverage we did throughout the weekend without her contribution. Hannah brought the photography and graphics through her own business, Hannah Sport Media, while I handled the videography through OUTWEST.

It was great to link up again, combine our skills and provide Brothers United with coverage across the entire weekend.

Two independent sports media businesses coming together to capture the journey of a championship-winning team.

An unforgettable weekend, made even better watching the brothers lift the Harmony Cup trophy.

HAKA | HARMONY NINES 2026 🔥

A powerful moment before the Harmony Nines semi-final as Hawaiki Roa performed their haka ahead of their clash with Brothers United.

Leading the haka was Willagee Bears halfback Tamahou Tirini.

A display of culture, pride and brotherhood before both teams went into battle.

OUTWEST | WILLAGEE BEARS MEDIA AWARD 2026

Pretty special moment receiving the Media Award at the Willagee Bears Seniors Prizegiving.

What started as an opportunity to get involved with the club turned into an entire season of capturing moments, telling stories and showcasing grassroots rugby league in WA.

A massive thank you to the Willagee Bears for recognising the work I’ve put in throughout the year and for giving me the opportunity to be part of the club.

It’s been a huge year for OUTWEST, and this recognition means a lot.

Grateful for everyone who’s supported me along the way.

This is only the beginning.

Pretty special way to finish off Harmony Cup 2026.

Being part of the Brothers United journey was an experience in itself, but getting to share the moment with my daughter made it even better.

Seeing her rocking the OUTWEST jersey I was gifted, standing alongside me with the Harmony Cup championship plaque after the boys got the job done. That’s a moment I’ll remember.

Grateful to have been involved, to capture the journey and to be part of something that brought so many people together.

More than just rugby league. Moments like these are what it’s all about.
