🌦️ Saturday’s busy bee may have been a little wetter than planned, but that didn’t stop our amazing volunteers from getting stuck in!

We had wheelbarrows rolling, topsoil spreading and plenty of teamwork, and somehow managed to get the whole job done way ahead of schedule!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along, braved the rain and gave up their Saturday to lend a hand. We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful community behind the kooka.

And a huge thank you to Green Life Soil Co Perth WA for donating a truck load of topsoil to help us get the job done! We really appreciate your support. 🌱

Now we cross our fingers for some sunshine and wait for that fresh new grass to start popping up! 🤞💚

We want to hear from our Kookaburra community!

We’re currently working on a grant application to support the future of ‘The Kooka’ and we’d love to include the voices of the people who make this place so special.

Whether you’ve volunteered with the Kookaburra Collaborative, been coming to the cinema for years, have fond memories of the space or simply love having Kookaburra in our community, we want to hear from you. 💚

We’ve put together a few questions to get you thinking. There are no right or wrong answers, and you can answer as many or as few as you like!

🌱 Got nothing planned this Saturday? Come lend us a hand!

We’ve got a mountain of topsoil that needs moving onto our lawn, and the more hands (and wheelbarrows!) the better.

We’ll have good music on, good company, plenty of laughs, and we’ll be giving the Kookaburra a bit of love while we’re at it. Whether you’re looking to meet some new people, get out of the house, or just fancy a bit of a Saturday workout, we’d love to have you! 🐝

🎬 Our final two movies of the season are here before we close for winter!
