Was that the quickest two week break so far, or what?

Maybe it was the packed school holiday program making everyday feel like we blinked and missed it (time flies when you're having fun!). Over 60 kids turned up across all of our events; whether it was game day at our Moora Rec Centre, or attending the Volleyball WA and WACA - Wheatbelt Regional Cricket clinics we were super grateful to have here in Moora.

Seeing the kids' faces light up doing something they enjoy is what makes all the planning worthwhile 🫶

Thank you to everyone who made it so much fun - including Gardiner Street Arts Collective and Avon Community Services for each putting on their own events for our community.

Can you believe the next school break will be Christmas? The year is going by so fast!

Join Moore Catchment Council and Dale Tilbrook this Wednesday, 14th October for a morning celebrating and learning about bush tucker.

Dale describes it as a great big supermarket, if you know where to look! You’ll hear about Aboriginal agricultural practices, follow the land through the six seasons, and learn about native food and medicine plants. Then you’ll get to taste the fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs and leaves for yourself, along with some savoury and sweet bush tucker dishes.

What a wonderful sight to see - WA's next Big Thing, people flocking (see what I did there?) to Moora to get a good look at it along with a selfie or two, and a community of people coming together to celebrate an incredible achievement. The definition of the perfect Sunday!

Again, a huge well done to everyone involved from Big Carnabys sculpture, Moore Catchment Council and Kerkhoff Carnaby Group who made this happen 💕

The Rotary Club of Moora's wonderful annual auction dinner will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 6pm in the Moora Performing Arts Centre.

School holidays have almost come to an end, it's not too late to get in on some of the action though.

Thursday 8th - Come down to the Rec Centre from 10am-3pm. There will be Pickleball, half court basketball, UNO, monopoly, lego and more.

Friday 9th - Join us at the Rec Centre from 10am-2pm for some STEM action stations and backyard experiments. Boys and girls, age 5-12yrs.
