Treat Dad to Father’s Day High Tea at Mela Patisserie.
Enjoy a delicious selection of sweet and savoury favourites, including bourbon caramel pecan pie, hazelnut chocolate profiteroles, Moroccan lamb sausage rolls, birria-braised short rib sliders and petite shepherd’s pies.

Freshly baked traditional scones with handmade preserves and cream are also included, along with your choice of tea, coffee or soft drink, plus a craft beer or glass of sparkling wine. 🍰🥂

Join them on Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th September for just $70 per person. Children’s menus are available, and dietary requirements can be catered for.

Did you know in the rock-breaking yards at Pentridge, prisoners manually smashed large blocks of local bluestone into smaller pieces using heavy hammers.

Larger stones were dropped in through one chute built into the wall. The broken stone was shovelled out through another.

It was gruelling, repetitive work. Part court-imposed hard labour, part prison discipline and done in isolation behind high bluestone walls.

Today, these yards stand as a stark reminder of the physical punishment that shaped Pentridge’s brutal history.

📦 Wanting to pick up a parcel, collect a missed delivery, or return a parcel? Do this using Australia Post’s free, 24/7 Parcel Lockers. The AusPost parcel lockers are located close to Cobrick Coffee (on the corner of Success Lane and Whatmore Drive).

How to use them?

1. Create a MyPost account online
2. In your MyPost account, just choose the most convenient Parcel Locker location and collect your parcel when it suits, within 2 business days.

The Parcel Lockers are ideal for parcels up to 16kg and no larger than 35 x 44 x 61cm.

Did you know this serene garden was once part of Pentridge Prison? One of Pentridge’s original panopticon exercise yards still survives today within The Interlude Hotel’s Reflection Garden. After archaeological excavations in 2014, the historic circular layout was thoughtfully incorporated into the hotel’s landscaped grounds, a quiet reminder of the site’s layered past.
