We’ve got a great mix lined up this month, with new releases, family favourites and plenty happening across the school holidays.

One Movie. One Night Only.
Shaun the Sheep joins our school holiday program for a special Wednesday night screening on 23 September.

Tickets are available at the gate. No need to book.

THE ODYSSEY RETURNS — FINAL SCREENINGS!

Missed it last time? Here’s your last chance to experience The Odyssey (M) where a movie this epic belongs… on the biggest screen in FNQ, under the stars. 🌙✨

Friday 28 & Saturday 29 August

Due to its feature length, The Odyssey will screen as ONE MOVIE ONLY each night. No double feature this weekend, just one huge night at the movies.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday night to support Storm Bird and local filmmaking.

It was wonderful to see so many people come along to watch a film made right here in Far North Queensland, surrounded by some very familiar landscapes on the big screen.

The afternoon and early evening started off a little rainy, but the skies cleared and it turned into the most gorgeous night. And then, just to make it extra special, we had the beautiful Moon and Venus shining beside the big screen. Pretty magical!

A big thank you also to Andy and Helen for joining us and for a fantastic Q&A after the film. It was such a lovely way to finish the evening.

And of course, congratulations to everyone behind Storm Bird. We were so pleased to be part of its theatrical release and to share this locally made film with our community.

Thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us and support local film.

TONIGHT ONLY - STORM BIRD AT MAREEBA DRIVE-IN

Tonight we’re proud to bring Storm Bird to the big screen for a special one-night-only screening under the stars.

Filmed right here in Far North Queensland, Storm Bird is a locally connected Australian production, and we’re excited to be part of its theatrical release.

Unfortunately, James Ivor is no longer able to join us tonight due to an urgent matter in Sydney, but we’re very pleased to welcome his co-star Andy Bramble, who will be joining us for a Q&A with the audience.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to see an Australian film with strong FNQ connections, hear a little about what went into making it, and support independent filmmaking on the big screen.
