Did you know that Miconia (Miconia calvescens) is one of the biggest threats to our rainforests? 😟

Miconia seeds can remain viable for up to 16 years and a mature tree can produce up to 5 million seeds.

Since 2003 our W**d Biosecurity Officers have searched thousands of hectares of private and public land, removing almost 200 individual plants from the environment. This might sound like a small number, but their removal has prevented potential large-scale incursions within the Big Scrub. 🍂🌿

Byron office up and running. After much configuration, re configuration and trialing of different technologies we are pretty happy with the system we have in place to capture, digitize and output pretty much any format of audio and video.
