It's hard to put the week of Le Giornate del Cinema Muto aka The Pordenone Silent Film Festival in words. the images I have seen, rare films we have had access too and the wonderful food and people that make it beyond special.

I can't thank the West Family enough for their generosity and I made sure I enjoyed every moment for Ron it's been a jagernaut of a fortnight...a million miles of memories.

Day 7+8 were so full of treasures, so many incredible films some rare artistic German films and the highlight of the day the new restoration of one of Gloria Swanson's defining films Sadie Thompson 1928 such a shame the last section is missing.

The Saturday was full of gems and the festival closed with John Ford's Western Epic The Iron Horse 1924 with the Pordenone 20+ Piece Orchestra LIVE. Jay (Director of Festival) can't thank you enough for a week of Time Travel in the stunning venue.

Day 6 at Le Giornate del Cinema Muto was yet again full of treasures the morning began with one of the biggest stars of the silent era Mary Pickford at the height of her fame she was watched by 14,000,000 people a day globally not sure if the Beatles come close to that!

It was great to see a restored film of Mary's from 1918 it looked stunning. In the afternoon we had another amazing Benshi performance (even got to meet the Japanese Performers in person) to the Japanese Classic The Water Magician 1933 a heartbreaking romantic tragedy about a female performer who helps a young man through Law School despite her poverty
