Rendezvous
Submitted by Eliot Gelberg-Wilson

Years after a wartime love affair, an American soldier and a former French Resistance fighter meet again in Paris. But returning to ordinary life may be harder than surviving the war itself.

Rendezvous explores an often-overlooked side of PTSD: the longing for moments of connection, purpose and intensity that existed alongside trauma. Inspired by stories of war, love and memory, the film asks what happens when the most meaningful moments of your life are also the most painful.

King Chronicles and Urartian Cuneiform
Submitted by A.Kadir Özdemir

King Chronicles and Urartian Cuneiform follows the story of cuneiform writing from its origins in Mesopotamia to the monumental inscriptions of the Urartian Kingdom around Lake Van.

Through ancient tablets, rock inscriptions and recreated scenes of scribal life, the film brings these long-forgotten texts to life. With vocalisations in the now-extinct Urartian language, it offers a vivid glimpse into the written world of a vanished kingdom.

Early Bronze Age Kura-Araxes Culture
Submitted by A.Kadir Özdemir

Set around the archaeological site of Pulur Höyük in Eastern Anatolia, this film explores the Kura-Araxes culture, one of the earliest widespread societies of the ancient Near East.

Through archaeological research and vivid visual reconstructions, the film offers a glimpse into everyday life - from homes and pottery-making to food, survival and ritual. It also asks a timeless question: how did people make a life and understand their place in nature within such a challenging landscape?

Elegy
Submitted by Michael Walsh
In 1915, poet Rupert Brooke was buried beneath the olive trees of Skyros. At his midnight funeral, his friend and fellow naval officer, composer F. S. Kelly, began to hear music in his grief.

Kelly’s Elegy became a tribute to Brooke - a work written before Kelly himself was killed in the Great War a year later.

More than a century on, the music returns to Brooke’s grave on Skyros. A story of friendship and loss, but also of the enduring power of art to carry memory across generations.

Under the stone pines

Submitted by Simone Pratola

Amid the cries of seagulls and the rustling of pine trees, something stirs. Beneath the stone pines, the lives of people who once lived through Italy’s ancient past come quietly back to life — their fates, fortunes and tragedies.

Under the Stone Pines is a dreamlike journey through the many pasts that have crossed the Italian peninsula. The stone pine, a familiar symbol of so many places in Italy, becomes a meeting point between the present and those who lived long ago.

This is not a celebration of empires or civilizations, but a quiet reflection on time, memory and the lives that passed through it.

The Bolters

Through stark moonlight and flickering candlelight, the film explores the fragile line between hope and despair, and what people are willing to risk for one another when freedom is fleeting and survival comes at a terrible cost.
