This November, Asghar Farhadi joins Creators Lab to lead the 2026 edition. An immersive filmmaking residency alongside one of contemporary cinema's most admired auteurs.⁠

For ten days, 50 filmmakers will explore the territory of San Miguel de Allende 🇲🇽, observing its people, landscapes and daily life before turning those observations into cinema. Throughout the journey, Farhadi shares his creative process, from observation and storytelling to directing actors and shaping human complexity on screen. ⁠

We’re proud to share that Capitán, directed by Laura Otálora .otalora, has been awarded the IDFA Bertha Fund Grant. We were selected alongside five other projects for the Europe: Minority Co-production, supporting this deeply human story about memory, family, and the unexpected ways we find to say goodbye.

Thank you to and the Bertha Fund for believing in this story and in the filmmakers behind it. This kind of support makes the journey possible. 💪

We traveled to Bogotá 🇨🇴 as one of four Spanish production companies selected by the to represent Spain at , one of Latin America’s most important audiovisual industry events.

This year’s edition brought together 170 projects in development and professionals from over 28 countries. For us, it was a week of new connections and real conversations about co-production between Spain and Latin America can look like.

Our CEO joined the Spain co-production panel alongside , we pitched one of our projects in development, and came back with a pile of exciting new work to explore!

Bridges take time to build. But they start with moments like these. 🎬
