We've been working on a documentary film project for the last three years called I Guerrieri (The Warriers). The film tells the story of a family from the South of Italy which enters in to a battle to face Parkinson's Disease. This is Loredana's family and her father Mario Acquaviva, who has had this disease for 20 years. Mario fought two years in the last stage of the sickness and his condition i
mproved during the second year. The film draws upon the hope, the strength and the solidarity that the family brings to the hospital everyday to earn a little more life. I believe in this project and I want to share this film to encourage, help and support all the people who, like us, have lived or are living a similar situation. The film is been beautifully shot and has already been selected for 2 important film festivals, just from the trailer alone. We have launched a crowdfunding campaign to complete "I Guerrieri" in the technical conditions necessary for its distribution. Crowdfunding is for me something exceptional in the sense that it can not (and should not) replace film and audiovisual funding sources. But it makes sense for specific projects at certain stages of the development like the manufacture of films. In the case of I Guerrieri your aid would help to finish the edit, calibrate the film and complete the sound mixing.
